We fixed one of these slinkies onto the upright pole of each of our bird feeders and the squirrels can no longer climb the poles. Admittedly it's not as funny as oiling the pole (absolutely hilarious, not going to lie), but it works well. In case you feel sorry for the squirrels, they do get fed as well, but they're thugs and they destroy the bird feeders if they can get to them. These slinkies are a useful part of the arsenal. These slinkys where purchased as a squirrel deterrent on my bird feeder - they have been a great success in reducing the easy with which the squirrels can climb the feeder - and it is great entertainment watching them slide back down the pole due to the slinky :~)

Not sure why this product has received negative reviews when it clearly states in the title that these are mini slinkies.I love them and have given them as gifts to colleagues/family members who work at a desk. Perfect gadget to play with if you're feeling anxious or if like me you prefer to have something in your hand when on a call or never ending zoom meetings.If you're thinking of buying this to drop from stairs or a great height then don't as you will be disappointed. If on the other hand you're after a desk accessory and something to keep your hands busy when on video calls then get one. You'll love it.

Bought these to stop squirrels climbing onto our bird feeders.Defeated all but one who managed to climb past it.But worth it just for the entertainment value of seeing them bouncing up and down!Actually axle grease works better and just as much fun to watch them sliding down.Bet Amazon won't post this!

Came later than said but only by a day. Surprised by size of package - when I opened them they were only the mini version of slinkiesMaybe I should have read The description better my brain wasn’t reading mini size!

These arrived and tbh they were a lot smaller than I was given the impression of being from the photos. Make sure you read the description! They’re more like the toys you get in a cracker box than actual slinkies that go down stairs etc.

Check size before you buy. These are very small, but perfectly formed!
