Nautica Boys' Solid Long-Sleeve Button-Down Shirt

We have had this shirt in our youngest sons wardrobe rotation for a little over a year now, and it still looks brand new! It is of the same quality as many of my husbands suits that cost in excess of $100, so I DO recommend this shirt for school uniforms, special occasions, pictures, or outings.We have paired it with the Nautica Dress Up Navy Blazer (in ELO Blue), dress pants, jeans, and shorts. Both on it's own, with a jacket, and over another shirt. It has looked great every time, and match our sons blue eyes wonderfully making them look even bluer! ^_~The shirt has been laundered with light starch many times through our local dry cleaners (I do laundry, but not ironing, and starching when it can be avoided), hasn't lost a button, matter of a fact they are all still tight without being floppy, and loose, but also not so tight you struggle to get the shirt buttoned. It has been laundered so many times because he has had pretty regular reasons to wear it. It has gotten a lot of wear. Love this shirt, and will be buying more! It's almost too bad he is the youngest of the boys, because I know barring any absolute destruction of the shirt (I have 3 boys, and am no longer surprised!) it would last through all 3 of them, so I will be passing it on to a friend I am really fond of! ( Nice enough to be a gift of sorts to the next Mom instead of a hand me down nobody really cares about)Matter of a fact about 6 months after purchase- we paired the shirt with the above named jacket, and his (English) riding boots, at the schools Valentines day Pageant, and he won Best Dressed!If your trying to decide whether to spend the money on this shirt - rest assured you and your boy will be very happy with it.We get a lot of compliments on how nice it looks, our son always looks well dressed, and well cared for in it, and because of the quality I don't worry if the cleaners will be able to get it clean again without ruining the shirt, or it's shape all together! ;)

This is a great looking shirt. Crisp white and opaque enough that there's no need for an undershirt. My son is going on 13 years old, and a bit small for his age. He wears size 12-slim jeans and weighs about 75-80 lbs. And even with the slim cut of his jeans, he needs a belt to hold them up. I ordered this in a size 14 and it's just a tiny bit big on him. There's just enough room for him to grow a little, but I don't think I'd want to have purchased this in a smaller size. If my son was a size 12-regular, it would probably be a perfect fit. So you may want to consider sizing up one size from the normal size you buy.It's plain white with a tiny Nautica sail boat emblem on the chest, which is also white. Very subtlety done. My son needed a white dress shirt to go with his black slacks for his school band performances, and this one was a great choice.

This fit my 7 year old perfect. The material was very good quality. Nautica is a great high quality brand. They are pricey but worth it and this price on amazon was very very good. What I really liked about this shirt is that it was not thin. It was thick and held the ironed (which I did) no wrinkle shape pretty good. I did not have to use any spray starch. But what I really like about this shirt is that it was very white. It was not a see through white. The collar and wrist parts are very made. This is all around a top quality product and considering my experience with Nautica ,,, I am not surprised. I hope that helps you! [email protected]

Quality made shirt of medium weight cotton-poly blend. Shows no sign of wear or shrinkage after numerous washings..Very good for year round. wear.. Fabric is thinner and softer than the button down collar oxford dress shirt also from Nautica and Amazon. Thinner but far from see-through. The size 16 is a perfect fit for our average build 13 year old son. Most likely will not soon after his 14th birthday Washes well but will need some ironing out of the dyer. Compares favorably to some of the higher priced shirts from the more well known brands.

Nice quality shirt - didn't seem to shrink. Also, nice thick material. Some shirts are thin and see through - not this one. Fit a little big. My son is tall and generally wears a 16 or 18. I bought both sizes. Had to return the 18 (way too big) - and the 16 was still pretty roomy. Does need to be ironed if you want a perfectly pressed look. Otherwise, it looks fine if you pull it out of the dryer while still warm.

I have always been pleased with Nautica shirts for boys. Well-made and reasonably priced, the shirts launder well and are easy to iron.

I figured this shirt would be just fine for the few times a year my son needs to look like he's not going to sporting event, but I was quite impressed with the quality of this shirt. It washes up really nicely, irons beautifully and most importantly my son doesn't fee like he's being put into a straight jacket. The cotton is soft, and the length of the arms are perfect (boy is tall). It's a little baggy, but I usually have to buy a size larger for the length, so I expect the sizing is just right. It's such a nice shirt, I hope I can squeeze a few more wearings out of it!

I bought this for my 13 year-old son. This shirt is perfect! He is on the slim side and I love how it fits him. There is plenty of space to move around in without looking too big. If he were a little heavier, I believe that this shirt would still fit well. You don't have to be slim! The sleeves are not too short-- a problem that I have had with other shirts. It is easy to wash and iron. No shrinking so far... only washed it once though. I would definitely recommend.

Product not as nice as pictured. Material was textured, not smooth. No my preference.
