Review: Works as expected, right out of the box. - I received the solar kit last night and tested it out from 4PM to 5PM this afternoon when there were about 3 hours of sunlight before the sky went overcast again. The solar panels were directly connected to an Ecoflow power station. The highest solar power that I saw was displayed on my power station was 118W. The highest solar power that I saw was displayed on my iPhone was 113W. The test continued until the power station stopped charging at 100%. The test confirmed this solar kit worked as expected, right out of the box. - Biggest pro: easy to carry and easy to use. - Biggest con: no kickstand or equivalent!! - Confirmed: peak power can reach 118W - Unknown: durability One thing that deserves extra attention: just as demonstrated in 1 of the product videos posted here at desertcart, this kit's solar output is *very* sensitive to how the panels are positioned against the sun. Simply by walking from one side of the panels to the other side, briefly casting a small shadow on the panels, I saw the solar power reported on my iPhone drop from 100+ to lower than 60W immediately and then bounce back. I think this is a good buy. Much more portable than my heavy Ecoflow solar panels. I plan to permanently leave them in my car.
Review: Works so well that I bought a third one. - Bought 2 of these and took them on an 8 day boondocking camping trip in my 5th wheel to charge my Goal Zero Yeti 1000 power station. My wife and I use the Goal Zero Yeti 1000 to run our CPAP machines at night. I also used them to charge the 5th wheel batteries. Because of several factors (like clouds and the way I just threw them flat on the ground), I still had to run my gas generator a few times. Here is what I discovered: 1. I love these panels and just bought a third one. I also have two heavy Goal Zero 100W briefcase solar panels but they are so heavy I don't like them. Much prefer the DOKIO 160W 18V Portable Solar Panels. Much easier to store. 2. They never produced 160W but my Goal Zero 100W panels never produced 100W either. 3. I love the battery management control box that comes FREE with the DOKIO 160W 18V Portable Solar Panel. I can hook it directly to my 5th wheel lead acid batteries and charge them to full capacity in a few hours (time varies because of lots of reasons). 4. The cheaper DOKIO 160W 18V Portable Solar Panels don't have a kick stand so I had to lay them against a rock or just lay them flat on the ground. This made them less efficient but I didn't have to keep adjusting them like I had to do on the Goal Zero briefcase 100W ones. 5. For the price of one 100W Goal Zero panel I can buy 2 DOKIO 160W 18V Portable Solar Panels. 6. In the morning I lay them flat on the ground, hook them up and don't mess with them until the sun goes down. 7. I just bought a third one and hope I won't have to run the gas generator at all (depending on the weather). If three isn't enough I will buy a fourth one and leave the Goal Zero ones at home. Bottom line: If money is no problem the best solution is to have permanent solar panel system installed on the roof of your RV. But if you buy solar panels you can't go wrong with these DOKIO 160W 18V Portable Solar Panels. Besides while I'm saving up for my home Tesla solar panels and back up batteries, I can use them at home for emergencies. Easy to lift and slim to store in the garage. Highly recommended.

## Features

- 【COMPACT & TRAVEL-READY】 Folds down to 19.3x20.9x1.1in and just 7.3lb—light enough to pack, carry, and set up solo. Perfect for RVs, vans, camping, or backup power.
- 【LONG CABLE, COOLER & SAFER】 9.8ft (3m) cable lets you park the panel in full sun while your controller or power station stays shaded—better cooling, safer use, and more flexible setups.
- 【SEPARATE CONTROLLER, SAFER CHARGING】 Includes a standalone PWM controller for 12V batteries with full protections (reverse polarity, overcharge, overload, short-circuit). Easy to replace or upgrade later.
- 【CHECK DEVICE INPUT BEFORE ORDERING】 Some power stations cap solar input (60–100W). Even with 150W, output won’t exceed that cap—normal by design, not a defect. Message us if unsure—we’ll help confirm before you buy.
- 【USB PORTS FOR ESSENTIALS】 Connect to a 12V battery for steady phone/lights charging. Can also give quick emergency top-ups directly in sunlight (current may vary).
- 【EFFICIENT, WEATHER-RESISTANT CELLS】 Premium mono cells give higher conversion efficiency and more usable energy in weak light. Weather-resistant surface stands up to sun and splashes (avoid leaving fabric case in heavy rain or long strong sun).
- 【ALL-IN-ONE KIT, READY TO USE】Comes with a 150W foldable panel, detachable LCD controller, 9.8ft (3m) cable, 3.3ft (1m) cable, JY60 short connector, 4 DC adapters (3.5×1.35mm / 5.5×2.1mm / 5.5×2.5mm / 8.0mm), plus storage bag & manual—everything you need for quick setup out of the box.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Available without the controller? i already have a victron mppt controller.**
A: I've only seen the DOKIO folding panels with a very basic controller & cable with adapters. It is a great way to start out but as I've posted before, the controller that probably works fine with the smaller panels will over heat with the 160 in bright sunlight. I, too, bought a 20A MPPT controller (Rich Solar) which would be a good idea at some point.

**Q: I have a 500 watt power station (needs 18v) and a pecron e1000 (needs 36v). Can I buy/connect 2 panels, what do I need?**
A: Yes you can as long as you dont exceed the maximum voltage allowed by your power station. Two solar panels cabled in series double the voltage, if cabled in parallel doubles the amperage. there are plenty on cables on Amazon to accomplish that depending on the type of cable you are using to plug nto your power station.

**Q: How much power will i lose if i place this on my car‘s dashboard against the inside of my windshield?**
A: In my car it looses a lot only leaves about 30 percent, glass in today's cars cut most of the good light out.

**Q: Would i be able to use this to charge my bluetti ac50s power station? would i need a different connector?**
A: Yes you can - an SAE to 8mm adapter is included I charged mine yesterday right out of the box with included adapter

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lightweight and This works way better than I expected.
*by D***E on July 14, 2025*

This is a great lightweight kit. You can throw it in the trunk or back seat. I get enough voltage and amps to charge my 100aH LifePo4 battery with just 2 panels exposed to the sun even in low light. Something not mentioned but is an important feature, the controller has cross polarity protection and corrects if you plug in something not correctly polarized. I would have gave 5 stars except for 3 small things. The controller is a little hard to operate, the SAE plug is very loose and falls out easy, I had to buy a new cable to replace the Original. And it would have been nice to have grommets along the edges to hang from a rope or hooks on a tree or wall. This works way better than I expected.
