Fantastic! 4 ¾ stars!
I have never canned before so I did my research, then bought this canner. It is pricey but worth every penny. I used it on a gas range to make jelly. Admittedly, steam does leak around the edges of the lid when at a rolling boil but the directions say to adjust the heat a tad, which I did, and that toned the leakage down without compromising the boil. Other reviewers said the temperature gauge didn't function well. Mine did just fine and was helpful initiating the timed boil. The pot is very heavy, even when empty (why I gave 4 stars for ease of use), but that is not the fault of the pot- it is substantial and not cheap materials. The rack is the only part of the unit that I would fault. I was canning quarter-pint jars. I took someone else's advice and bought 9" flat, round wire racks to place on top of the canning rack. This helped stabilize the jars tremendously. However, when lowering the jars into the water, they tended to slip towards the center due to the handles folding over the jars. I figured out to place 4 of the jars next to the hinges to prevent the handles from folding over and moving the jars out of position. Better still, the additional rack has 6 spokes. Place 6 jars on the spokes and a 7th in the middle and viola, perfect canning arrangement for quarter-pints! Can't wait to do more!

Love this canner!
I finally broke down and bought a “real” water bath canner, since we’re doing lots more canning now. After comparing canners, I bought this Kitchen Crop Harvest Canner because in addition to water bath canning, it can also be used for steam canning, which I am eager to try. There is an instruction booklet with simple, clear steps for either type of canning. It is safe to use with my glass cooktop, and is induction capable. (If you do have a glass cooktop, make sure to read the cautions for your particular stove.) I have canned 2 batches since receiving the canner, and it is a delight to use! There has been no spurting of water from around the lid whatsoever. Once I stabilize the canner at a steady “rolling boil”, I don’t have to fuss with it at all. The canner is nicely made of sturdy stainless steel, and I appreciate the silicon-encased handles so I don’t have to worry about burning my hands. Another big plus is that the pot bottom is almost exactly the diameter of my largest burner, with no overhang. The rack inside the canner will fit 7 quart jars; and there’s adequate space above the jars for a full inch of water to cover them, with another full inch of “boiling room”. It came in a nice box which I will use to store the canner during the winter. That box was packed inside a sturdy shipping box, so I feel it was well protected during transit. I’m very pleased with this canner so far!

Great
My first attempt at making dill pickles - got my new steam canner. It is beautiful and a no-brainer to unpack and begin. The only complication was that my recipe is old and there was no information regarding how long to steam once it got to my correct green zone. I searched on-line and could not find the answer to processing time. So I steamed for fourty minutes. The correct answer is steam for 10 minutes. I wonder if I will have soggy pickles. Seven days wait-time and I will know. Love the canner and the glass lid, and will find something else to use with it - maybe peaches. It’s a keeper!

Rack is ridiculous, not flat, handles flop over, had to buy separate rack
Just tried this canner and while it worked okay with my induction stove, the rack is ridiculous. It might work with quarts, but when I used half pint or smaller jars they simply fell over due to the design not being entirely flat and the rack handles flopped over during canning. So when you try to take them out it is impossible to get to the jars without tipping them over because the handles are in the way. And there isn't quite enough depth to can if you don't lower the rack. Had to buy a new canning rack that is flat and doesn't have handles and am hoping that works better.

Love the way I use less water
I got.into can interact 4 years ago and have canned a lot of peaches and cherries and tomatoes in a water bath. I did not like how heavy the pot was to lift and how much water it took. I had a friend that steam cans and decided to check into it. I love this pan. I love how easy it is to read the Guage to know when to start timing. The weight of the pan with the correct amount of water is not too much for me to lift. It was worked perfectly for steam canning everything I normally water bath. My mother in law was over and saw it and she had me order her one too.
