Simply the best at the price
I bought the Fiio K5 Pro after reading many online reviews about the item and having tried a portable Hi-Res player from a reputable company, I realized I didn't want to use it as a DAC. Since the Covid-19 lockdown began I have been working at home and spending long hours at my desk is made bearable by the clean, boosted sound I get from the Fiio to my powered speaker compared to the tinny computer speakers. I use it with my phones, portable music player as well as my computer. Music never sounded better. Online meetings are clearer now.

Nice desktop AMP N DAC with optical, coax in
I got this mainly to connect my Samsung DUMB QLED tv to my powered Genelec Speakers. I use it as a pre-amp. This also doubles up as DAC n amplifier for your Headphones like ATH m50X. Amp is powerful and Dac is good for the price. Like everything else this is made in china. quick delivery if you are in Mumbai

Pretty good
Using with my DT990 Pro. Pretty good for it, make sure to use a lossless streaming service like Apple music or Tidal though.

Mediocre sound
I wouldn't call this a great product at this price. Save some more money and go for Mojo. Unbeatable in this class.

Best in the price, hard to recommend stacks [Hear me out]
So I got these for my new purchase of DT 1990 Pro, and I also have a set of Beyerdynamic's Custom One Pro Plus, now Beyer's COPs don't require an Amp/DAC necessarily because they're only 16 Ohm headphones, but even with a quite beefy and expensive Asus Rog Strix motherboard that boasts how good its onboard audio is, has some crackling/static noise that usually you won't hear unless you really pay attention to the details of any audio. I listen to lots of music, I'm a sucker for good audio when it comes to anything I'm watching or games that I'm playing and I could faintly hear the little crackling noise when the part of some audio is very quiet, the static noise would annoy me even though my headphones' sounded great and most of the times they would mask it when the audio's loud. But when you connect more sensitive audio gears like IEMs (in my case Blon BL03), the static noise gets amplified too, and it still isn't THAT apparent all the time but once you hear it, you want it gone when you're after a good audio. Moral of the story is: Even the "best" motherboards aren't necessarily that great with the audio solution they have onboard. While they can drive higher impedance headphones and generally sound good, if you're really looking for details and a cleaner signal, you just don't get it from your desktop's onboard DAC/Amp. Now I didn't need K5 Pro for the COPs or Blons, but I have recently gotten my pair of DT 1990 Pro and they're a 250 Ohms pair of headphones and in that case, you definitely need a good pair of Amp/DAC and it just so happened that after I've gotten my K5 Pro, I not only now can drive and enjoy my DT 1990 Pros but also they made my current COPs and Blons sound so much better with how cleaner the audio is, I couldn't hear even a slight bit of interference anymore. Having said all that, and how good they work for what the intended use is, it's also hard to recommend any higher priced gear or stacks when these can drive your beefy headphones just fine. As long as they can, I don't suggest buying stacks or more expensive DAC/Amps because the difference will be non existent in the audio. If your headphones need more than 300 Ohms, then you can continue searching for something else, but generally keep your DAC/Amp purchase within a smaller budget and only buy what you need. And in most cases: FiiO's K5 Pro are just what you need so let your search end here unless you're after some serious upgrade or you have a lot of money burning a hole in your pocket. Also I saw someone else review these with a bad rating and just said they're not a great product at this price or are a mediocre sounding pair? I urge you to not pay attention to a review that won't tell you WHY something's bad or mediocre. Don't take such a review on its face value. They also said "Mojo's better"... based on what? Why? What's the context? Let's do away with these reviews that don't help anyone.

Best DAC/Amp for the price range!
I recommend it for just about anyone that is looking for a solid midrange budget dac/amp. Build quality feels good. The knob has a really good feel to it. You know that nice level of resistance so it doesn't get accidently spun but not to spungy to annoy you. The switches have a nice tactile feel to them so it's easy to tell which setting they are on and when they click between positions. Comes with all the cables (power and usb) you need along with headphone connector adaptor So you should be set if your 2.5 or 3.5. It also looks pretty clean. Easy to tuck away but not an eyesore on your desk if it's in the open. It also pushes my 150 ohm cans to perfection so I believe them when they say it can drive up to 300s. I have been fooled by other dac/amps in the past but that is not the case here. It drives what it says. Very clean sound. I do recommend getting the actually drivers from FiiO's website to get the best out of them on your PC though. It won't be as clean without them. So remember to do that if that is important to you. But if you just plug it in windows will detect it and you will have sound if you don't feel like messing with it (cannot confirm with an apple). But really does it all pretty well. Music, movies, and gaming are all satisfied to level you expect for the product. I know you will see a few cheaper ones and I would recommend you pass them up for this one. Its great. I believe to really get better you are going to have to almost double your budget and start to enter the realm of entry professional level equipment.

Love the input options & the analog input switch, but received a faulty unit.
Used this DAC for my TV setup. TV > DAC via optical cable > DAC to Speakers via RCA cables. Kept experiencing dropoff via optical, no issues via USB. Swapped optical cables & still same issue. Swapped the DAC out for the WiiM Pro Streamer DAC, issues resolved instantly. Based on the troubleshooting, it seems to be an issue with my particular unit, via the Optical Cable input on the DAC. This DAC is also extremely lightweight, the build doesn’t feel that great. But easy to setup, just plug & play. Frustrations only came in via the faulty optical cable input.

Does it simply and very well.
Absolute beast, does the job for my Sundara closed back planar headphones with multiple options for connectivity.
