I have Prime TV with a first generation receiver. I have never liked it. The reception is sluggish, not dependable, and slow. To make matters worse, the free choices seem to get smaller and smaller and the Prime remotes are poorly made. I have replaced them several times. I was ready to go totally to a smart TV when this product appeared. I was pleased at the low price and the immediate availability. I may have to buy several in reserve. This item put off my elimination of Prime for the present. At first I was discouraged as the set-up, as easy as it appeared, didn't work. Out of frustration, I left for a time and when I returned to try again, the remote worked perfectly. Before you give up, let the situation rest and give it an hour or two.

Terrible. Stopped working all together after 3 days. Had already returned previous voice one as it wouldn’t pair with Amazon. Didn’t return this as I keep hoping I can fix. Still using old one but the buttons were sticking but still worked!

My firestick was good but my old remote was ruined when the battery leaked. I was unable to use it even with the app. I followed the directions and this one worked right away. So happy that I didn't have to throw the firestick away.

This replacement remote for my Fire Stick has done its job. There is no voice button, but honestly I didn’t use it much anyway. There’s no volume button, but this replaces the older version which didn’t have it anyhow. The setup was easy, using the clear instructions included. It is a bit clunkier feeling when pressing the buttons, but they work and do the job. For the price I’m happy with the performance and that it saved about double its cost for a new Fire Stick.

Worked fine at first. Didn't get much use for a few months. Now doesn't work anymore. One battery leaked a little so that may have killed it but it did work for a bit after I changed them so I don't know. Should have just bought a roku and saved the money.

This remote is perfect! I was dreading the thought of having to search for a replacement remote because I knew that the odds of finding one were slim to none however, this is exactly that- a replacement remote. Identical to the original. The price was fair and it is super easy to pair with your fire TV! I am extremely happy with this remote. I will recommend and I have recommended it to anyone need a replacement remote for their fire TV!!

This thing is garbage. Don't waste your time with it. It was okay to sync, and worked for about ten minutes. Then it didn't. We changed the batteries and it worked for another ten minutes. Then it didn't. Then we figured out that if we pulled one battery out and put it back in five seconds later it would reset it for ten minutes at a time. After one week it now just doesn't work unless we've somehow missed the secret handshake that will make it sometimes work again. And frankly, I ain't got time for this. Returning while I can. We're using a first gen fire box that works just fine. We'd like for our kids to be able to control it without needing to give them our phones to use the app.Seriously, this is junk. Look for something else.
