Verizon FiOS Quantum Gateway AC1750 (Renewed)

I was switching online services and ordered this modem to save money, so I didn't have to buy a brand new modem from Verizon. When the Verizon technician finished cable installation, and it came time to set up & connect this modem, we discovered it wouldn't receive a signal. Additionally, the original password was never scrubbed, and even with multiple factory resets by the technician and troubleshooting the modem never functioned.This is a total scam, and a total waste of money. This company is selling garbage 'refurbished' modems to unwitting customers. Don't fall for it! DO NOT BUY THIS!!!

I scheduled a Verizon FIOS new service internet install, drove 2 1/2 hours to the new apartment to get internet set up that day. The Verizon technician had to be there for the install, because the Verizon FIOS terminal equipment had to be installed in the apartment first, before I could connect the Verizon Quantum Gateway Amazon Renewed router. He connected the Amazon Renewed router and it powered up....but it never would "connect". He waited 15 minutes....never connected. So he said it must be a bad router and should be returned. I needed internet that day, so I had no choice but to have him install a new Verizon router ($15/mon fee) to get me up and running that day. The Verizon provided new router connected within a few minutes. This is my first Amazon Renewed purchase, disappointed that it did not work out of the box.

It works perfectly and was super easy to set up! I unplugged my old Verizon router and plugged in this one. The WiFi signal is WAY stronger! Would not hesitate to get this if you are having current issues with your Verizon router. I was getting 10 -20 MBS a second with the old router and now I’m getting around 100 MBS.

I replaced an older vintage vz router. I needed too since I upgraded my Verizon internet service from 50Mb to 300Mb. It connected to Verizon as soon as I plugged it in. I had no problem purchasing a refurbished unit at 1/3 the price of a new model. Generally electronics have a long life. The only problem with the setup was changing all the WIFI password connections for 19 devices. That was a long cumbersome process.

Bought this to replace the one I was renting fron Verizon. No isuues with setup and it works great. Saving $12.00 a month.

Works great. Using the G1100 as a MoCA bridge to the FIOS One boxes for TV. It sits behind my existing router and simply acts as a coax switch. Beats paying VZ for the rental. Definitely recommend.

Even purchasing a renewed product, it was packaged like it was new and included everything I needed to get internet. New ethernet, power cord, etc. Product was almost new and no issues after using for a month. Would recommend.

No tweaking, firmware upgrade, erasing another ISP's settings, calling support, or any of the other bother I read about in reviews of other FIOS-compatible modems. When the Verizon installer showed up, I handed him the modem, and he used it without complaint. Can't speak to its wifi signal strength as I have my own WiFi router and just use this to convert the FIOS signal into an Ethernet connection for my router.
