Hatch lift support for my 2014 Forester fit perfectly, took just a few minutes to install. Price was about 1/3 of cost of ordering from Subaru.

I needed to replace the lift supports for the hatch gate on my Subaru Forester. These were a fantastic price for a pair and fit perfectly. They work just as well as OEM from Subaru, if not better. I had an issue with moving the clip in order to snap the ball into the socket, but after some discussion from customer service, I realized I wasn't moving the secure clip out of the way far enough. Once I realized my "stupidity", the socket popped right over the ball and I resecured the clip into place. This was a wonderful business to deal with and Jessica in customer service called me right away which is always a pleasure these days when it seems nobody cares anymore. She genuinely cared and took the time to help me. I highly recommend using Lift Supports Depot for your needs.

I've a 2015 Subaru Forester with both Manual / Power liftgate.I visited the closest Subaru dealer in my area, &, the parts dept. wanted $55 for one lift support.I came to Amazon found this pair at a very fair price, ordered within several days was on the door steps.The install went rather quick, &, surely someone with better eyes be a much faster install. I took my time, roughly 30-45mins start to finish. I placed a dab of never-seize (rather than grease) in the ball sockets, just to help lube & prevent rust, also a dab on the bolts as well The reason for replacement was due to one of the original struts having broke at the ball socket. Anyways now we're deep into winter, the liftgate works like a charm. If ever a need to replace, this set will be the first on my list for reorder. SMRY

Great customer service. I guess my Subaru model is picky. The first set would not work. Called customer service and they rushed me another set. Didn't work. Sent back for full refund. They fit perfectly but I have an automatic opener on my gate that didn't like the speed at which the cylinders extended. Had to buy expensive OEM.

I used these OEM rear hatch struts to replace a broken one on my 2014 Subaru Forester with power lift gate. These struts fit perfectly and were very easy to install. The lift gate is back to working like new. These cost a little more than some others so rated value a 4 but they did the trick and I recommend them.One foot note I’ll add is that Subaru just sent out a letter 10/1/20 regarding the original lift gate struts failing on 2014-2018 Foresters. They will now replace under warranty for 8 years from in service date or 100,000 miles whichever comes first.

This was an exact fit for my 2015 Subaru Forester rear hatch door. Good value for the money

Fit my 2014 Subaru Forester 2.5i Limited perfectly. They were very easily installed and held up the power liftgate great just as great as the original stock supports that came with the vehicle. Shipping was fast and came in perfect condition. I also love how these are cheaper for a set (2 supports) than the price of only one from Subaru dealership. I would definitely recommend these supports along with the seller/company that sells them. I will continue doing business with them when needed.

Purchased these lift arm supports for my 2014 Subaru Forester. They installed easily, took me longer to find my tools then actually installing them. They did not work like OEM and often the power life gate would get near the top just to drop suddenly an inch or two causing the life to fail and the gate to automatically close on its own. I had to provide it some manual support prevent that from happening. Less than a year after installing, I opened the life gate just to see the lift arm move in a way it should not have. On close inspection, it was cracked right at the base and failed the next time the gate opened almost dropping it on my head. The bracket somehow just broke and the lift arm fell off completely. See photos. I am not pleased with this product and this is why there is a 1 star review. Buyer beware. Now I will attempt to find an OEM replacement part.

We had a bit of a delay with delivery but once the package was received, the fitting was excellent! I was very happy the vendor was so responsive and provided excellent customer service! 5 stars!

Works fantastic on our 2016 Forester with power lift gate. Hardest part was removing the arm that didn’t seize/snap. Installation was a breeze. Cost was a fraction of OEM.

Fit my 2014 Forester perfectly, and easy to install as long as you can get the original rusted ones off and you have some assistance holding up the hatch. Took me about 30mins. Note that you’ll need a 13mm socket deep/long enough to install the ball bolt. There’s a tiny lynch pin added to the ball socket on this product to help to secure the ball in the socket.
