Wow, thank you Uncaged Ergonomics! Post shoulder surgery, I’ve been needing something to hold my tablet, books, and puzzles at a comfortable angle, and this is amazing. It’s so much more comfortable not trying to hold on with my hands, which get tired, or prop up a book with my legs- which still cause neck tiredness from looking down. I found this easy to adjust even with an arm in a sling, and it’s just so nice to be able to get what I’m reading up to eye level and to be comfortable. I didn’t expect there to be a soft rubber sleeve included, which slides on to the lower bar where my book rests, up its so nice to also rest my wrist there as I turn pages. It’s a thoughtful feature. The whole thing is well thought out- nice and wide to go over my lap and hold any size book on its surface. I imagine it would make a nice tray for a dinner plate as well. I can’t wait to recommend it to friends and don’t know when I’ve been so happy with a purchase. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Editing to add that adjusting the side legs is not hard! You press in a button and move the legs where you want them, but you do not have to do both sides at the same time! Turn it on one end and adjust the side that’s up, then turn it on the other end and repeat. It’s also GREAT how it goes into any angle, just release the button at any point.

A rare case of getting exactly what I expected. Well-designed and built, sturdy, and completely adjustable. I use it for iPad Air in bed, to raise it up so my neck isn’t strained by looking at my lap, and also keeps it farther away so my eyes don’t get crossed. An unexpected additional benefit: I can touch type again — on my little iPad keyboard, because the stand not only holds it upright but provides a backstop to type against. That requires a pillow to prop up my arms and hands, but it’s easily done. Some have complained that it’s not easy to adjust. I don’t think that’s a problem at all. You most likely won’t be adjusting it frequently — after trying a few positions, you’ll probably find one that works and stick with it. It takes a LITTLE doing — especially the first time when you’re unfamiliar with it. If it were any easier to adjust, it wouldn’t be as sturdy. Not a good tradeoff. I love how they even thought of providing all those holes in the back, providing both aeration (cooling) and antenna access for your device (antennas are built into the back of some iPads). I wish they were on the right side rather than the left, but they do cover the middle enough to allow placing the device in the middle.

This is a very specific review (I'm rating it a 4 b/c I have someone to help me adjust it; otherwise, it's a 1). I need to lie on my back to read, and needed to get books off of my belly and out of my hands. With that in mind, this device works great when adjusted for books and would work well for holding a tablet, but it holds my lap top at an unusable angle/distance while lying down, which is disappointing. It's a nice wide size, about 19" between the arms; it comes assembled; it's sturdy but quite light.. We did have to add velcro straps on either side of my books to hold the pages down, as the platform needs to be vertical for books when lying on one's back. The problem is that it takes two people to adjust the device - one has to hold in two buttons on opposite sides, & then it takes another person to adjust the device. I have reasonable hand strength and a large hand size for a woman (wear an XL glove for length), but it's nearly impossible to adjust it by myself. If I lived alone, I'd have to return it. One caution, which seems self-evident in description but NOT when using it: take the object you're intending to use OFF OF THE DEVICE WHILE ADJUSTING IT! My husband had placed my lap top on it and got distracted in setting the platform to a more vertical position, and the lap top landed on his forehead and gave him a nasty cut and a goose egg. OVERALL: Once adjusted by two people and the medical trauma was dealt with, I can now enjoy the sheer pleasure of reading without hurting.

The stand looks great and is well-built. The setup/adjustment process is cumbersome; not difficult to do, but it does take a bit of time. My stand is setup in a closet where I do recording with the height adjusted so the person on mic can stand up and see the script at eye level. To switch to sitting down I actually have to remove the unit from the closet since there is not enough room to adjust inside. Also the height where the music/script or laptop sits is about 8 inches high, if you are using a clip-on stand light an 11.5" piece of paper cannot fit on the stand without folding or printing in landscape mode.

It is perfect for drawing and reading. It is very sturdy but very light. It has tons of different ways you can use it by positioning the legs in different ways, I am able to use it for reading in bed at an angle, then change the angle to flat to rest a meal on, or raise it higher and put on a table to stand up to draw and paint, and then reduce the height and use it while sitting at a table, I love this thing! Until you get used to how to move the joints you may find it confusing, but after using it for a few hours in different positions described above I am now able to easily adjust it. The rubber lip that fits onto the front is really helpful, it makes it comfortable to rest my arm on when drawing, and it is wide enough to hold my books in place or rest pencils on.

Tiene un diseño elegante al ser de aluminio, es ligero, facil de usar y cumple su función. Lo ocupo en mi trabajo donde coloco expedientes de varios tamaños, facilita la lectura y calmó mi dolor de cuello, ya que no tengo que bajar mi vista, sino mantengo mi vista hacia el frente y lo utilizo diario, así que vale la pena el precio, ya que estoy seguro que me va a durar mucho tiempo y cuida mi salud al tener una postura adecuada de lectura.

Cuesta unos 20 minutos encontrar las 4 o 5 posiciones en las que se usará. No creo que haga falta más, pero con esas 4 o 5 posiciones, se puede utilizar en la cama, en el sillón , o en la mesa. Nunca más mirar hacia abajo, ni con un libro, ni con un portátil, tablet, etc. Lo hemos comprado para nuestra hija que es una gran lectora y además estudiante, y pasaba muchas horas con el cuello en mala postura y sujetando el portátil en las piernas. Al verlo, con las patas y las posiciones qu e puede adoptar, me pareció que iba a ser complicado y no lo iba a usar, pero está muy contenta y yo más. Muy ligero y robusto.

I love this stand. I bought it because of my neck arthritis. It's adjustable so I can use it on my coach, bed, table or recliner. The legs adjust so your book can be at eye level. It hold's heavy concordances and bibles. You can use it for small paperback novels but you have to hold the pages open, there are no clips to hold it in place. I did not want those anyway. However, with the heavy books it's hand's free reading. There's a ledge to set the book on so it does not slide and you can put your pens on it. Other models didn't have the thick ledge like this one. I've used it for 2 years now and I'm constantly banging or dropping it and it's been holding up. I love it. It's very sturdy and you can fold it and store it. Great for small apartments.
