3 3/16 Inch BBQ Temperature Gauge for Smoker Wood Charcoal Pit, Large Face Grill Analog Thermometer

A bit larger than the one being replaced but looks great and IS accurate.

Perfectly replaces the MB Gravity 560 hood thermometer. Stem is a little longer but it does not contact the middle shelf. Matches the temp reading from my Thermoworks air probe placed on the front of the grate right next to it. Does take a little bit longer for the temp to settle in, and the needle can jump a bit as the temp changes. I know it's not perfectly accurate, but the color ranges and needle can easily be seen from a fair distance, making it easy to keep an eye on things from afar.

The needle on this gauge got stuck after a couple months.. sometimes I can get it loose by slapping the face of the dial, but I think I'll need a new one.

Dislike having to drill a larger hole to install.It’s always been under cover of a roof and grill cover when cooled off but it still fogs up constantly.

I removed the factory thermometer from my Masterbuilt GS and replaced it with this one. It's a perfect fit. Even though the factory thermometer has an additional notich with an off-center hole and this thermometer does not, there is no smoke leaking from behind this thermometer.The temps were accurate right out of the box measured against a digital thermometer that I have.It's a big improvement over the factory one that game with the smoker since that one did not have numbers.

Not accurate. Used 4 different thermometers. Other 4 read same. This one was off reads hotter, by 50 degrees.

I got this cage because it fits the Masterbuilt 1050. It does seem to be very accurate and is easy to install and fits perfectly..

So far I've just got the gauge mounted in my BBQ pit and tested it for temperature accuracy so here's my initial observations:1) I validated the temp against a digital thermometer as you can see in one of my pictures. I'm impressed - the two were tracking within a couple degrees of each other at most - pretty impressive.2) The Amazon listing text says that the gauge is "2-3/8" diameter. The picture attached to the posting shows it as "2-6/8" diameter. I measured it myself as you can see in my other picture and it's actually 2-5/8" diameter.3) The simple instruction sheet included says that you can extend the 2-year warranty by 180 days by going to their website "www.galafire.com/warranty" and registering your purchase. When I go to that page I get a "404 - Page not found" error.I bought it for temperature accuracy and for the ease-of-reading and it fits both those criteria. I didn't have the fogging problem but then again, I tested it on a day when it was over 60 degrees outside so it wasn't real cold. Time will tell if it proves to be a winner but so far, I'm pleased.
