I was actually expecting this to be a little bit more durable and was expecting a metal base plate that attaches to the ceiling and not silicone rubber I will be replacing the silicone rubber base plates but the remainder of the unit is pretty high-quality pretty decent actually comes with an easy screw type connector so you can just plug the wires in and screw it on tight and the wires remain attached. That being said there is absolutely no ground on these so if you are needing a ground you will not be able to ground these

Do not buy this. The plate is not 4 inches which is the standard size so you’ll have to end up purchasing another plate to cover up the gap. Also the screws are are extremely small flat heads not Phillips as the picture shows so good luck finding a tool small enough to fit. Half a Sunday was wasted trying to install, another additional purchase. Save yourself, save your Sunday- spend a few extra dollars and buy somewhere else

It’s pretty durable. You won’t get any more value for what you pay. I’m happy with the final product.

Very poorly made, you get what you pay for with this model. The cord itself is insulated with a woven cloth, which makes splicing almost impossible because the fabric unravels when it's been cut. The top cover is rubber, looks cheap and doesn't hold its shape very well.Westinghouse makes a mini pendant lamp available through Amazon...a little more expensive but a much, much better product, particularly if you are going to be splicing it into your existing electrical system.

Very practical and easy to install.

Just a heads up to anybody considering this item, the ceiling mount is only 3" in diameter, not 4" as stated in the description. As a consequence, it doesn't cover the hole in my ceiling.Also, the woven nylon is of such poor quality that it shreds when you slide the silicone ceiling mount over it, which you need to do for installation. So basically you're guaranteed to ruin it when you install it.I'd avoid this item.

the ceiling plate is smaller than standard so I could not use it

We did not like this product because the top plate didn't cover the outlet.
