current product far inferior to their original straps
See picture. Tells the story. After having been very satisfied with their previous generation straps, bought their new ones (I damaged the buckle on one of my original straps accidentally running over it).The new straps are very inferior in every way: they have IMO an inferior buckle design, are thinner in width, thinner in thickness and the material is clearly inferior (less pliable). See picture for comparison of the new straps to the one original strap I still have: the difference will be obvious. One of my "new" straps" failed after the 4th or 5th use -- just fatigued, got thin and broke -- while holding a ladder tied down on a roof rack on a minivan. Fortunately, I managed to pull over on an interstate before the ladder went flying off. Unfortunately, apparently I cannot return it (no return button any longer on the order summary).I would not use the current generation straps to secure anything on a rack.Would not buy again, will try one of the competing products, hopefully they are closer in quality to the original Titan straps.

rock solid straps
I love these straps. I use them to bundle downhill skis and poles together when I travel via plane. I also use them to hold my fat bike on my bike rack. The straps that came with my Thule rack are garbage. The only thing to note about theses straps is that they are stiff but need to be pulled very tight to keep them snug. What I mean is a few times I pulled them to what I thought was tight and when I arrived at my destination they were a little looser than I would have liked. Just pull them nice and tight and you'll be happy with theses straps as I am. Great purchase!

The 18" strap broke!!
Awesome strap initially but broke shorly after fifth use. The strap was being used to secure a light carbon fiber mountain bike to my bike rack. I bought two of these, the other seems to be fine for now but nervous to use it and it does look like it is also going to break soon. I also bought two of the 9 inch versions and they seem to be fine. Maybe i just got a bad one. Again good concept just not confident to use on a light bike even though it is rated for 60lbs. My bike weight is supported by bike rack and this strap is barely holding five pounds. It broke on tightening, using the same tension as the other one which isn't tight at all, and still has flexibility. The bummer is that these things were expensive and I thought i was paying for quality! Hopefully the customer service is more reliable and stands behind their product.Updated: The owner of the company Cameron explained that there was a slight issue with a batch of the straps and replaced them no questions asked. Excellent customer service and now I can have confidence that the new straps are as tough as they say they are. Thanks Cameron!

Do not hold up well out in the sun
I bought set of these straps in May 21 and used 2 of them to secure ladder to my rack on a work truck. And I didn’t even get 2 months out of them and today my ladder almost flew off my truck because the strap broke. My best guess is they’re not very good out in the hot sun because I think they got hard and rip. It’s not a great Product If it’s not UV PROTECTED.

Using this for my bicycle!
I got this gear strap to strap a heavy U-lock to my bicycle. It's great - it's straps it down tight and secure, and it's easy for me to tighten and un-loose.Super handy! I would totally purchase this product again -- and I will use it for my bike and securing or heavy equipment and/or sports equipment I need to travel with. Two straps come in a pack!

Versatile and Strong Straps
I am using the straps for bikepacking and backcountry skiing. I primarily bought these because the straps are wider than Voile ski straps and I thought would be more versatile for my purposes which turned out to be true. The wider straps are not as convenient on the bicycle since the spaces on the bike are small. It just requires more thought where to run the straps. It would be nice if I had a set of straps at different lengths. I'd like to use the straps for everyday uses but the 25" straps are too long. One thing that is tricky is using the locking system. It takes some practice to tighten the straps but once you get it, it's fine.

Don't last when exposed to sunlight
I really wanted to like these, as I very much like being able to secure my ladders snuggly on my truck. However, they don't age well when exposed to sunlight. Two of the four failed within about 2 months. And another that had been inside my truck failed within days of first use outside.

Live Saver!
I carry a ladder on my truck. I use two sets of these, because I'm a bit over cautious on saftey. it takes me about 20-30 seconds to strap or unstrap all 4. They don't get rusted like a traditional ratchet-strap does. I will never go back to the old methods of securing equipment.
