Don't eat seafood on a regular basis? Then you need a supplement.
Our brains need DHA and EPA omega 3s. Our bodies can inefficiently convert ALA from plant sources like walnuts, but you can't meet your requirement through this conversion process. If you aren't eating seafood on a regular basis, and if you want to minimize your exposure to pollution, take this supplement.

Vegan Omega 3s
I purchased these omega 3 capsules because I read online that fish actually get their omega 3 from plants. I always thought that the fish created the omega 3 themselves, but they actually get it from their diet so this is technically straight from the source.I prefer to eat vegan whenever possible so I figured I'd give it a try.Essentially these are pretty much exactly like fish oil caps. I get the same level of burps and I feel the same as I do on fish oil, but these are vegan. So if you're like me and prefer the vegan option these are for you, but I wouldn't put them above fish oil. They make me feel the same and the burps are the same as well. I don't really have much of a problem with the burps because I always take them with food anyway and its incredibly mute, but these aren't 100% "fishy burp free." Good enough for me though I'd recommend.

Easy to swallow and vegan
*Disclaimer*: I haven't been using these long enough to see benefits, and I'm not sure it's realistic to actually *notice* the benefits of something like this, or to tease those apart from other lifestyle factors - e.g. "am I more focused because I'm supplementing with omega-3, or is it that I've been getting better sleep, drinking less caffeine late in the day, exercising, etc?"That said, I've read that at least one study showed that women who took omega-3 supplements during pregnancy gave birth to children with higher IQs - apologies for not being able to reference the study, but I read this in Michael Pollan's The Omnivore's Dilemma. This was more than enough to get me interested! I bought these particular supplements due to my understanding (I am not a biologist!) that the particular fatty acids they contain, EPA and DHA, are of "greater physiological potency" (wikipedia) than ALA, which is often found in plant-derived supplements. If you're on a plant-based diet, it is difficult to obtain these fatty acids, so I decided to try supplementing.Note that the bottle recommends you refrigerate after opening! It took me about a week to find that on the label. Don't follow in my footsteps. Finally, I'd definitely recommend following research on omega-3 supplementation and always incorporating a healthy dose of skepticism in your daily vitamin regimen.

Seems good.
Personally I can't tell a difference but my partner (who eats more poorly of a diet than I do) can tell the difference in cognitive function and joint pain.
