First of all, I'm sorry you have to be searching for an urn for your loved one. It's always a hard loss. I wish I was able to post photos!! It's absolutely perfect. The original urn I bought had to be returned because it was a slender cat shape and there was NO way the bag of my cat's ashes was going to fit. I was upset because it was beautiful and perfect. So I spent many more stressful days trying to find something to honor her. I needed something perfect and that didn't symbolize an urn of death :/ she was my baby girl of 12 years. She was everything to my kids and my baby girl. I pondered and pondered, looked at so many reviews, photos of reviews, and many different websites. It was not an easy process especially since I didn't have a final resting place for her when I had to go pick up her ashes. I saw this and thought it looked beautiful. It's even more beautiful in person! It's heavy, sturdy, and just perfect. I was so upset because I saw another pretty urn after I already bought this one and thought I'd never find something that was good enough for her. Boy let me tell you when it came today, which also made me super happy because it came much earlier than expected!, I felt totally happy that I made and kept this piece. She was about 6/7 pounds and I got the Small and she fits very well. My problem was that I am NOT dumping her ashes out of her bag to make them fit, which I could have done to keep that first cat shaped urn. Because God forbid one day it falls and breaks open.... my baby girl would be all over the place and I'd have a panic attack! She's nice and secure in a sturdy, brass resting place securely in her bag wrapped in the velvet bag they also send with the urn.

It was truly comforting in a time of loss and I want to extend the same.I am sorry that you are needing to search for this and sending love to you and your family for your loss. Our family is tiny and our furry baby helped our family feel whole.I really love this urn. It just felt angelic and special as opposed to a reminder of loss. The vet hospital package actually came with a wooden box with our baby’s name on it but we liked this one better.It comes with a velvet bag and the quality is really beautiful. The one from the vet hospital came with a bag as well and also an additional plastic bag for extra protection of our sweet baby’s ashes. We asked them to help us transfer the given box into this one, but kept her in the additional plastic bag then inside the velvet bag this one comes with and the top is a screw on for extra security.I was nervous because this is my first experience ever with cremation and having to keep ashes in my home, so I was worried abt how it would feel. But this urn is so special and pretty it just doesnt give the feeling of an urn but the feeling of honor and a special place to hold your furry family.Our family will miss her so much. This is one purchase I wish I never had to make...but it's definitely a beautiful in color and shape and a well made urn. Very heavy so I'm not afraid one of my cats will accidentally knock it over. I ordered the large so that I could place the ashes of my 2 kitty cats, who were buddies in life, and I pray playmates crossing the bridge together. It's definitely large enough to hold them. The lid screws on and off very tightly so no worry of a mess occurring should it ever be knocked over. And the opening is large enough to put my whole hand in easily.My only "complaint" if it can be called that is that the desicant (?) moisture absorbing packet had broken open inside the urn. When I went to brush those lose pieces out into the trash this moist blackish stuff got all over me. I had to take paper towels and wipe quite a bit of it out. Doing so exposed the metal at the bottom...as if whatever the inside was coated with came off - maybe because of the beads from the packet breaking it down? Not sure. But it's still a very well made urn and will allow me to keep my beloved kitties in a place of honor.

I’m so sorry you are shopping for this.I bought this for my Lulu, my six pound Chihuahua mix. I added a picture with a pen for scale. This urn is beautiful, and heavy for its size. Lulu’s ashes only filled about 1/3 to a 1/2 of the urn. It’s the small size and could have held a bit of a bigger dog or cat. I am pleased with the size. It is small enough to cup my hand around and feel closer to her.I recommend this seller and this beautiful product. The price was good, a bit cheaper here on Amazon than from other sites I visited, although that was not my main concern.

This is a very nice urn it simple and affordable. However it claims it can hold up to 25lbs? How? My fur baby who passed away just recently was only 12lb and barely fit it seemed. We did live her remains in the bag that had been in the original box from the vet, so maybe we were supposed to pour them in sans bag? But anyway we got it to work and I’m happy with it overall, we’ll not as happy as I’d be if I hadn’t had to buy one.

This is a great urn. Not too big, not too small. It's engravable so you can have a tag made for it. The lid is very solid. It screws on but the threads are sturdy and precise. There's plenty of room so you can put some small things in if you want. It's real classy. A nice, shiny-smooth black finish with perfect paws on top of the lid. Around the lid is a nice silver band which sets the paws off. On the bottom is a nice felt circle so wherever you put it, the urn will stay stationary. It looks so great and classy on my shelf above my computer. Even better, put it on a table top that's lower than you and you can always see the paws. You will not be disappointed for choosing this urn for your pet. There's no other, black, classy urn out there that looks better.
