Just as described. Easy assembly. Very happy how well it works. Would buy again!!!

Works like it should. Works well with my Kelton Hollowing rig. However the first time i used it the laser pointer top flew off. The problem it poses is to buy a laser pointer the same size. Not sure where it got off to. Also the cap fell off the opposite end of the shaft that holds the laser. Other than that it does what it's meant to do. I will keep using it and see what happens.

Its easy to assemble and the length of the arms makes it easy to use with pretty much every tool I got. I am extremely happy with this tool and it can only increase accuracy and stop funneling...LOL

I am disappointed in this. I turn a lot fairly small hollow items and I thought this would save me a lot of time checking wall thickness. My first disappointment came when it would not clamp to the ferrule on my home made hollowing tool. I had to clamp on the wooden handle, a small thing and something I felt I could work around.The second disappointment was that it really threw the balance off on my tool. Just really made it hard to hold my cutter where I wanted it. It may have been something I could have gotten used to but after the third disappointment I decided not to try.The third disappointment was I just couldn't tighten the clamps tight enough to keep the laser from moving off target due to vibration. After only a couple of cuts the pointer wasn't where I set it. It's too bad as it seemed like such a good idea before I tried to use it. I would not buy it again.Steve

Excellent accessory when used with a hollowing system. Realize, however, it must be set up properly (read the instructions). :) I would not want to use it on hand-held tools because the weight of the laser guide hardware would make the tool hard to maneuver for the fine cuts.[edit 7/15/22] I had to buy a new complete replacement laser guide system. a Rayovac battery leaked and destroyed the laser unit. Ron Browns Best customer service is non-existent. I contacted them three times (two times using their website contact page, once with a phone call to leave a message) to enquire if a replacement laser unit was available; they never answered my request for information.The lesson is to remove the battery when the laser is not being used.I purchased my new laser guide from Peachtree Woodworking Supply; they're extremely reliable in their product advertising and availability. For the money, this laser guide is a very good value.
