Joseph does a very nice job of summarizing key points and writing the book in a way that's approachable as a reader. Having some knowledge of the markets and living and working around those who don't, Joseph brings a good perspective on how to approach or think about how to explain or simplify the investing approach. To add a bit more, I thought the building blocks approach of getting to the steps was well thought out. Step by step is a simple concept in itself, but in many cases, especially ones where your money and future is involved, it's good to get some background. I thought the steps were well written(accurate), easy to understand and useful as I think about my portfolio.

Nice overview
Book was a nice overview on investing / saving. Very basic for beginner level. If you have knowledge of investing, this doesn’t add much. Best gift for high school / college level as a short intro to saving.

Good for getting back to basics.
Title says it all. When in doubt in sports, business, or investing, going over the basics one more time is a surefire way to research alternatives and build core skills. This book does an excellent job of providing broad outlines of how to lay the foundation for investing. There are always more details, but for the core principles this is a good start.

Good for true investing novices
Took about 90 minutes to read. A good book if you are at the very beginning stages of understanding a stock and maybe how to buy one. For anyone beyond a true novice, much too simple to be worthwhile. Again, not a bad read, but would only recommend it for true novices.

Great information on a complicated subject!
As an investor, I find there to be so many choices when it comes to investing in paper assets. It can be overwhelming to any beginning investor. But it doesen't have to. In this book, Joseph breaks down the most essential parts of investing when it comes to stocks. I like his philosophy of investing for the long term, not the short term. He explains the world of mutual funds and exchange traded funds (ETFs) in simple terms and offers some tidbits of advice when it comes to picking your investments and rebalancing your portfolio. Read it today!

This is the one!
If you are looking for a book which explains easily ( and honestly) how to invest your savings this is the one! It's a very helpful kick-off for investing your money so that inflation does not cut off your savings.
