Cella Shaving Cream Bio, 150 g

I had been curious to try this soap and it was at a great price so I decided to pull the trigger on purchasing it, making it my first shaving product purchased in a year since a jar of Martin de Candre. I am a very experienced wet shaver and have used too many soaps from commercial brands to artisanal and home made soaps. Both organic and tallow based soaps.I have to say that this soap was excellent, sometimes a soap with a glycerine base is a red flag but when the soap is well made and by a reputable company there is nothing to worry about and that is the case here.Performance was top quality and an effortless lather that was very slick and creamy was created. Excellent protection and glide from the razor, soap did not dissipate and a 30 second load gave more than enough for 3 or 4 passes with spare. The scent is very clean and soapy, most pleasant.If you're looking for a non tallow soap and an organic soap this is an excellent choice and very affordable, it certainly deserves to sit alongside its red tubbed older brother.Highly recommended.

As expected, another first class product from Cella, smells great, works brilliant - in the top 5 Shaving Soaps available (alongside Arko, MFW, Saponificio Varesino and Cella's own original).I was a little sceptical as the Almond version is just epic, and this had a lot to live up to. I can report that It does - despite their completely different formulations, it is equally on par with the original.I have no hesitation in suggesting that you try this. I also have the corresponding after shave and that is equally as good. I intend to use both of the Cella soaps in future, alternating the two.

I think the headline says it all. Excellent cream and will buy again (as I have done before!).If I had to think of something negative to say, the only thing is the bowl could be a little wider, but it is a neat size for when I go travelling.

No real scent but quick to lather in the container and then direct to face (no need for separate bowl) offers good protection, blades glide nicely over the face with no irritation

Nice shaving cream, slightly denser consistency than I'm used to, but it lathers well and is delicately scented. Happy with my purchase.Having now had this shaving cream for a couple of months, I can add to my earlier review and say this is extremely good value. I mentioned before that I felt the consistency was denser than I was used to, but this is no bad thing as it makes it very long lasting. Great product, would certainly buy it again and would look at what other scents are available.

I decided to give this a try as don't like the Eucalyptus scent of Proraso. It's a similar 'croap' type and as the tub is too small for lathering I used a scoop in a separate bowl. It produces a good lather with a pleasant scent. I thought I had a good shave, but was surprised to see several micro dots of blood on my face a few minutes later. I was using the same blade/razor as my previous shave so am not sure why this happened, but did notice another reviewer had the same issue. Hopefully this was a one-off and I'll give it another go with a different razor in a week or two.*Update: I gave it another try in conjunction with the matching aftershave lotion and I'm still a bit underwhelmed by both. They're OK, but nothing special and there's better options available for the same or less money.

I use with a pre shave oil to avoid nicks and it has lasted me ages with outstanding results when used with the matching Italian shaving brush and a traditional safety razor.Forget all the overpriced gimmicks, foams and million bladed wonders, and stick to the classics.

Best shaving cream ever ? Why cause it cellaI like red , tried green tub just as good but goes so much further ‘ too . Best way to shave the old fashion way ‘ I switched from buying 30 pound plastic ones of tv ‘ so much cheaper buy own blades as well ‘ could ant believe how much money you save ‘ and the best thing is the shave ‘ you will not go back 👍
