1 Gallon 3-Pack Biodegradable Fabric Plant Grow Bags Heavy Duty Environmentally Friendly

So far so good. I planted a couple of trees in these and they are holding up well so far. I have them also inside of 1-gallon containers and intend on planting them directly into the ground in about 6 months (spring). They are pretty flimsy but they are intended to be only temporary. I like that they can be pulled out of the container fairly easily and it should be easier to get them into the ground. I wouldn't use them as a stand-alone container though.

Update: the company saw my review and sent me a new pack which they stated that they improved the fabric and the new pack I received are great. I have used them for a few months now and they have not torn and I have moved them around repeatedly.Original post: Tore on the sides when I filled them with dirt

The bags held soil but handles are thin and ripped off quickly. Waiting for bass to rip as well. Didn’t try to return because I had plants growing in bags.

First, the bad: these straps break easily when full. This has been mentioned by quite a few reviewers already. I sacrifice this flaw(?) in favor of why I truly purchased these bags.1. These bags are touted as being biodegradable.2. They allow me to successfully grow beautiful plants that my native heavy clay soil loves to kill while arranging (and rearranging) them for optimum landscape design before permanent planting.2. Again, my soil is heavy clay and definitely requires heavy amending and/or raised beds. This heavy clay kills a lot of plants. I have A LOT of raised beds.Overall, I love them enough to keep buying them over the alternative because they are biodegradable. If they were not, I would probably choose a product with straps less likely to break when full with soil.

The sizes are off, the 2 gallon is what i ordered. I checked the first one, with a 1 gallon milk jug, #1 it could probably only hold a single gallon or gallon and a quarter by visual reference. #2 doing the math with the measurements given ARE LESS than ADVERTISED. LAST BUT NOT LEAST #3 ARRIVED WITH TEAR IN THE BOTTOM. SO, Im not sure i would even try the larger size. These should be a quarter of the price listed and Even then as a liner or similar, Not as a stand alone. ~~~ imaging growing a nice expensive plant just to have the "pot" tear out from under you. Your time and money are worth more than the experience i just had with this. Now i have to waste more time trying to return a bag to ups, to even try to recover the measly payment for these. Honestly this was a terrible experience and i would steer clear unless there a dollar for a pack. NEXT!

I wanted grow pots that would allow me to grow tomato’s in a pot in one location with lots of sun, and then re-plant the same pot directly into the ground after they were started and healthy and strong. But I did NOT want to put common low priced synthetic plastic (polypropylene) grow pots in the ground because this is not respecting the earth. I was SO amazed to find these Bio-D Grow Pots that are 100% Biodegradable. I checked it out and I found that these Bio-D pots are made from special biodegradable fibers that are made from corn ! So now I can put them directly in the ground when I transfer my plants and feel like I am being a better and more responsible custodian of our planet. It is worth it to me to not put plastic into the ground because it will basically never biodegrade. Well done Bio-D ! Bravo and my garden Thanks you ! Keep up the good work !
