The mechanism is clunky and stiff and gives the impression it'll shear at some point. Moreover the size and weight are comparable to a typical extending umbrella. It's neither lighter nor smaller than the lightweight travel umbrellas we already have in the house. I'd be interested to see the level of protein in any kid's diet who was comfortable using this beast.

This umbrella is definitely for older children .think 7-8 years old. My daughter is 4 and she cannot open and close the umbrella without help. It’s also a bit tricky to open and not so easy to get back into the cover once closed. We have yet to test the umbrella in the rain so can’t comment on the changing colour aspect of the umbrella.It’s a pretty umbrella but feel there must be more easier ones to use out there -The umbrella is being held hostage by my daughter so I cannot return it.

Adult size umbrella? with patterns like shown. This is not for a small child. Unless an adult wanted this kind of pattern unicorn, colour changing umbrella. Returned this item not what I expected disappointed with this present.

I bought this sweet umbrella for our granddaughter who was just about to start school. She couldn't wait for it to rain! She loves the colour and I hear it is easy for her to handle. I am very happy with the purchase and think it was good value for money. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a good quality, fun, girl's umbrella.

I bought this for my daughter who likes to have her own brolly. She was so excited at the colour changing pictures. Such a great idea for kids. It's a vibrant pink too, perfect for a little 6 year old. It seems well made. Not had it long, but I hope it lasts well.

Not great, bought for my niece and it's so hard to put up and down, needs a strong adult to do it. It's also really heavy for a child, and the colour changing bits are already starting to peel off from where it's been creased when folded.

1st one ordered was damaged - the centre button/protector was broken which was a disappointment for my granddaughter on her birthday. Ordered a 2nd which appears to be ok. Refund for damaged goods was dealt with promptly.
