A true labor saving device
Easy to setup for desired screw length and seating depth. Works with a variety of collated screw types/lengths.

Must have tool
Not perfect but once you get the hang of it, it really speeds up the work. I use it for Sheetrock and it gets the job done with less frustration and a lot faster. Semi automatic and belt fed is the way to go…..

Very reliable
Works as advertised.I put in almost 7000 2” screws the first time using it.

Jams constantly!
I'll start of by saying that I generally like Makita tools, I have found them to consistently be one of the best and most reliable brands. So when I decided to finish my basement, including hanging 1000 sqft of drywall, I got this auto-feed screw gun.I have never used it before, so I made sure to read the directions about how to set it up, and how to use it. When I got a lot of jams I assured myself that it was my inexperience causing the issues. After a couple of hundred screws, I can tell you that this product is flawed. When it works, it is amazing and saves a ton of time. However, I would say that I was typically getting multiple jams per collated screw strip. Once you have a jam the work stops. You have to pull the collated screw strip out, and then attempt to fish out the screws. The area where the jams collect is very tight, so it can be incredibly hard to get the screws out. If you have multiple jammed screws, then its any even bigger process now, because the screws are blocking each other from moving in the necessary direction to be able to be cleared.Honestly, with how many issues I have had, I think I wasted much more time than I saved. I'm sad to say it, but I'll be going back to a standard impact or screw driver.Wanted to like it, but can't recommend. Stay away!

Pricey, but worth it
I've been a Makita fan since I dropped a circular saw down a 3 story elevator shaft and it worked for another 10 years. This autofeed screw gun did not disappoint. I had to resurface a 1750 sf deck with wood deck boards and this little gem was putting in roughly 1200 screws a day at perfect depth for days on end with only occasional jams. I've seen some comments about frequent jams but that was not an issue for me; there's some extra settings and adjustments on this tool so read the instructions and practice on some scrap wood when you first get it and you'll be fine. My crew was not happy when they ran out of collated screws one day and had to put in deck screws one at a time with conventional drivers. It's not an inexpensive tool but if you've got the volume of work for it, the labor savings will pay for it in short order.

Amazing machine, saved so much time!
When I started a new sheet rock job I was debating if this puppy was worth the price especially with the surprisingly low ratings for this stellar brand.I did already have a set of batteries from a cordless drill set, so that probably swayed me. But I ended up picking up the Makita Cut-Out tool with another 2 batteries (XOC01T) at the same time so it was an extra expense, but figured what the hell, this should save us some time, right? All I can say is WOW.What a fantastic tool. This saved us so much time. We put up brand new rock in a 2k sq/ft house and with just 2 of us doing it (most of the time only 1 of us) it cut the time in at least half, probably way, way more. We started with a normal DeWalt sheet rock drill (nothing against DeWalt, love them) but this just made life so much easier. Bought Senco 1 3/4 collated drywall screws on here, thanks to someone's answer in the questions. They fit perfectly (make sure you adjust the tool for the correct size screw) and we were off to the races! Putting up a board and holding it in place with one hand and just tacking it in place with the other is cakewalk. Putting 30 screws in one board takes less than a minute. No holding the screw, aligning the drill, having the drill slip off and dent the board. This is how it should be done. No cord to plug in, which is important because likely your outlets aren't installed if you're putting up fresh rock. They apparently even make collated durock screws as well, my tile guy is going to love this thing.WORTH. EVERY. DAMN. PENNY

Fast, but a bit of a learning curve.
Defined improves the speed. A bit of a learning curve to get it driving properly. I got it failed in relatively quickly but whenever I let one of my guys use it they seemed to get it all jammed up. It does jamb a bit but once it's dialed in you can fly. Screwing down a 4x8 sheet in about 2 minutes. Four stars because it doesn't have the clearance to get inside corners.-Update. Just not worth it. The hastle of constantly jamming, colated screws, the need for way to much focus for drywall Drew's has left this on the low shelf of my shop. Just buy a straight drywall gun like the pros or use a drywall but and impact gun. It's a neat toy but too much plastic. I like Makita but this isn't it.

Very nice
The media could not be loaded. Very good tool. Works great. Black button under up front under silver part releases the strip and you can pull the line down/ backwards. There is 2 silver squere metal pieces on top towards the end. If you press them you can extend the Gul so you can use longer screws. Yes this one is adjustable.
