Just replaced my broken old bulky piano lamp for this slimline LED light. This modern lamp is great! Since it is LED it does not get hot like my old lamp. It has adjustable intensity and can be adjusted to light up in the exact place your music needs to be seen. When we first plugged it in the plug behind the piano I thought it was broken because did not see the switch and thought maybe it was supposed to come on just from being plugged in. I took it to another plug and started looking for the switch and finally touched the right end of the light casing and like magic the light not only came on but became brighter with each touch. I looked at other lights online Which were 4 times the cost. Being an amateur I could not see spending so much. As I opened this i was pleasantly surprised at the fact that the intensity was adjustable and the base was heavy. The only thing that I would change would be tunneling the wiring through the base so it is not noticeable.After I had this lamp for awhile, I broke the adapter that plugs into the wall when I pushed the piano back against the wall. After contacting the company, Focus Lighting and verifying what kind of plug needed to be replaced they sent me a replacement plug at no charge to me even though I was at fault for breaking it. That is the kind of customer service I like!

The lamp features three brightness levels, but I use it only on the brightest. The light quality is good. I have two minor complaints, but they are due to my particular circumstances. First, the lamp extends only 1 1/2 inches beyond the edge of the base. Due to the design of my piano, which has a fairly massive top and cove molding, I position the base to extend about 1/2 inch beyond the front of the top so as to light the entire page of music. The base is heavy enough that this is of no concern and there's no danger of it tipping off. Second, the cord measures about 64 inches, which is a little shorter than I need for my situation. That's easily remedied by a short extension cord. Overall, I like the unit and should have bought it years ago.

Perfect for my organ console. Sturdy, weighted base, three lamp temperatures, adjustable, shines on music and not in eyes. Worth the money.

Perfectly lights up multiple sheets. Nice silhouette. I only gave 4 stars because the price seems high for a lamp. But I’m satisfied with the product itself.

The light is very bright, as shown in the picture. This is a good investment to save your eyes when playing piano. We've been using this for two years or more now, and it still working very well. Very satisfy.
