Cattlemen's Barbecue Sauce, Carolina Tangy Gold, 18-Ounce Plastic Bottles (Pack of 6)

If you have not discovered mustard based NC style BBQ sauce, wow what a game changer.Yes you can make your own, but why bother when this sauce does it all. OMG this is so smoky, mustardy, yummy deeelish.I got 6 bottles to last me a bit. One is already gone by the weekend. Works so well on pulled pork, dipping in chicken nuggets, marinating & basting on some drumsticks on the Weber Kettle. YES!!!

I've recently developed what some people might describe as an obsession with Carolina BBQ sauce. I've searched the internet, scanned grocery shelves, adventured through big box stores and raided every market I could find to seek out the best bottled Carolina BBQ money can buy.Here it is, folks: Cattlemen's Carolina Tangy Gold beats any of the others hands-down (and trust me, I've tried many). It is the perfect balance of sweet, smoky, vinegar, mustard and spice. Other sauces tend to be a little overpowering with one flavor or another, but I've found this one to be the perfect blend. I had my eye on this sauce for a while, but I hesitated a bit because I didn't want to buy a pack of six, dislike it, and then waste 5 1/2 bottles of sauce. I'm glad I went for it. If you like this style of barbecue, you'll love this sauce.

My wife was given a bottle of this sauce from the kitchen staff at the long term care facility where she works. This sauce is fantastic for a mustard based sauce! My kids prefer this on ham barbecues over traditional tomato based sauces! I have only been able to find it in the 4 gallon jug in the Pittsburgh area and that size doesn't seem practical for typical usage. Just received a shipment of six bottles today and my only issue is that I have an exploded bottle in my package of six. Not sure how this happened seeing as they packed a box within another box with air packets surrounding the bottles and there is no outside damage on either box. It must have been leaking when they packed it. This still does not take away from that fact that it's a really great tasting sauce!

Bought this with the original Cattlemen's. My hubby loves this almost more than the original. It is that perfect balance between mustard and barbecue sauce. Way back when, we used to get ribs from Bill Batemans that had a mustard barbecue sauce and this is the closest thing we have found to that! We have reordered this item twice. Very Good!

Really love this sauce. Its served at a local restaurant where they put it on just about everything. Tangy and very tasty.

I reviewed this earlier. That "Carolina Gold" mustard-based BBQ sauce will light up the novice visiting one of these places down in the Carolinas. You can order over-priced Piggie Park sauces and get all the neo-Confederate BS along with it. Or you can order Cattlemen's at half the price and that very familiar, unique flavor. We marinate with a rub and then before cooking apply this sauce liberally. It melts hearts, spreads legs and changes lives. I ordered a case and was forced to give most of it away. Just bought a second, with a view to hang on to some of it.

When I was in college, my friend and I would go to a bar after a stressful week and split a dozen "gold wings". After I moved away I tried endlessly to locate the sauce and couldn't find it anywhere! I even tried to make it and it was just too mustardy.THIS is amazing. It's the perfect blend of tangy, sweet, and a hint of smokiness. Great on chicken, sweet potato fries, or just about anything. With Prime shipping, it's even more of a great deal!

Sauce is good.....we had wings at Roosters and asked what sauce they used and this is what they told us. Good on pork also!
