Re=Lieved: the best pain patch out there.
At 70 y/o, I have chronic back pain, and I use these patches most of the time. They are thin, sticky, have no smell, they'll stay on for a week, I find they itch occasionally. They are a good size, approx. 3 x 5.5". These are a little pricey compared to other brands, but well worth it. You're supposed to wear them for 12 hours, but I've found that they work for several days without damaging my skin, but everyone's different.

Added benefit
My experience is the same as most people here, stays in place, works well etc. but I prefer these patches even though they flex well they are less stretchy than the cheaper ones. That means when I put one on my straightened knee it provides a little extra support to help with my bone on bone knee when I bend it and have to walk on it. It's not like a magic knee brace or anything like that but it just enough to make me want to spend the extra money. Also some of the cheap ones are so stretchy they spring back on them selves and fold so you have to undo the creases and then they stick to your fingers and fold up even more:( I've had to throw a few away and start over. Also the cheap ones roll up if you put on leggings or tight jeans. These ones stay nice and flat :)

It WORKS - and It Also STICKS!
I initially tried these when they were sent to my landlady as a promotional gift from her insurance company. She didn't need them, but knows that I have some very painful days, and so she offered them to me.I do indeed have hand and wrist that are sometimes quite painful, and so tried them, not really expecting much of anything. I was very pleasantly surprised to learn that they work! Within about 15 minutes of application, my wrist was no longer troubling me, and that's great news, especially as I worry about taking too many doses of aspirin in particular. The adhesive on this patch also works well (this is the 3" x 6" size) - certainly better than its competitors! I have tried others, but I always end up returning to this one.The only reason I HAVE tried other makers' products is that these are among the more expensive versions of a lidocaine patch; BUT, the others aren't saving you anything if they just don't work. These stick; indeed, even at the very end of the twelve hours that these are still sticking well enough that I have to be cautious about taking them off, lest I tear the previously-damaged skin (it was damaged long before I began using these patches).I happen to be allergic to menthol, so I can't try those; I also tried the ones that are in the form of tape that can be cut to a desired length, and that variation has TERRIBLE adhesive, so stick with this form. I believe that if you do, you'll have found an excellent tool for dealing with arthritis.

Stays in place as long as wet bandages while swimming in the ocean during a hurricane.
I had very high hopes for these patches after reading many reviews saying they actually had a difficult time getting the patches to come off, so I assumed they have to stick really well and that is what I was looking for. However, unfortunately, these patches not only didn’t stick very well at all after about 2 minutes, they are so thin and stretchy that I think the only lidocaine on them is about the same amount you would get if you sprayed each patch with one squirt of a tiny perfume bottle filled with liquid lidocaine.I felt no pain relief at all and these patches have so little lidocaine on them compared to my prescription patches and a few other over the counter patches, that I honestly think it’s a scam. I only bought these due to the fact that my RX patches and other over the counter patches don’t seem to stick and stay in place very well If I don’t stay completely still or use something to keep them in place. But even the RX patches stick much longer than these on me. All over the counter patches I have seem to stick better and provide much much better pain relief than these patches and staying in place are supposed to be this items superpower. I figured these patches were too good to be true but needed to find out for myself. And my experience is just that. For me, they have been the worst patches I’ve ever used and I ended up returning them for a refund. My RX patches and every other over the counter lidocaine patch I’ve ever used has had a very visible and squishy level gel like substance filled with lidocaine on it so it will stick and then provide enough lidocaine to last 6-12 hours of pain relief per patch. These patches don’t have that and just look like a flexible piece of rubber that someone cut out and applied an invisible/clear layer of the weakest children’s glue that couldn’t hold a broken piece of grass or a ripped piece of paper together for more than 30 seconds. This has been my honest experience. The only good thing about these patches for me, are that I was able to get a full refund from amazon quickly.
