I really never thought of putting a grounding rod/probe into my aquarium water and I only had like 2ish volts of stray voltage which really wasn't much to worry about but I figured why not add this grounding probe as it is just another way to make the aquarium better and safer and it does work. I put mine in the sump near the return flow back to the return pump and I have 0 volts in the sump and 0.8 in the tank as it has to ground through the piping going back up to the tank do it does really work and I instantly noticed more movement of the fish in the tank after adding it. I do recommend this for any aquarium and if it is a larger tank you probably need two which one in the sump and one in the tank and my tank is a 125 gallon salt water reef.

Did not have this before with all my saltwater aquariums. I have had saltwater aquariums for 50 years. Now I have three ground probes. 1 In my saltwater aquarium 2 each in the sump. In the past I felt a sting on my fingers when a heater leaked. Play it safe

Suction cup doesn't actually suction, completely flat. Falls off and sinks to the bottom of the tank.

I feel a lot safer having my tank grounded now.

Seems to be working well and I'm hoping that the fish are less stress.
