Used to fill knots in hardwood floors
I ordered this kit to fill knot holes in my hardwood floors that we recently laid. This works great for accomplishing that. Before installing the hardwoods (we bought Grade #3 red oak hardwoods - known as the rustic or cabin-grade wood), I applied some duck tape on the backside of the hole to keep the resin from running down and out of the hole. It acted as a plug, if you will, to pour the liquid down in the hole. The product does work very fast. I found that if I prepared before I mixed a batch, it worked much better. I would tape up around the hole I was going to fill and then I would mix up a small batch in small plastic dixie cups. This way, when I was done with that batch, I simply threw away the cup. I mixed coffee grounds with the resin after I had mixed both parts and it dyed the resin a dark brown/espresso color that blended nicely with my floors. After letting the resin sit for approximately an hour, I used my hand sander to smooth out the patch. It worked so good, it is hard to tell the patches from the real knots.I have attached some photos of my finished floor. I thought I had some pictures of the process of applying the epoxy. If I find those pictures, I will update this post with the pictures.

This epoxy is amazing. I have tried several epoxy's at Lowes and most of them were junk! This stuff is like concrete and cures very quickly. I am using it for heavy picture frames and I did not need to use clamps. I mixed the epoxy with a Q-tip and I waited a couple of minutes before applying. Once I joined the frame corners I used my hands for a minute and a half. Job done! The glue is clear and once it hardens, you will need a hack saw to break the seal.

Great epoxy for woodworking that's easy to mix!
I love this epoxy. It is so easy to use, since you need to mix equal parts of product from each bottle. You don't really even have to measure. I put the tips of both bottles straight up and down on a board I have that has pairs of different sized circles drawn on it and covered with packing tape. I let the product ooze down with gravity to fill the tips, then just gently squeeze with the same pressure to fill each circle equally with the epoxy. When I'm ready to mix then it scoop the dollops of epoxy from each circle and mix them up. If I need to I add aniline dye or sawdust to add color or texture.I'm going to try and shoot a video showing how I mix the epoxy myself.

Great product for woodworking/woodturning, long shelf life.
I've been using this product with woodworking for decades.I use it to fill holes and cracks and do inlays in turned pieces and it works beautifully. Turns and finishes beautifully. It also works well when you add pigments and other mediums for color. The bottles I'm replacing with these are about four years old and the product is still perfectly fine.Strongly recommend it.

Works great!
If regular glues won’t hold this one will! You have to mix a drop from each bottle and wait 5 minutes and poof!! It’s done!! Great stuff!!

They both work great but have their quirks
I am a weekend warrior woodworker and work exclusively with rough sawn hardwoods the inevitably have faults and flaws that need to be filled. I i have worked with system 3 and t-88.. They both work great but have their quirks. System three mixes great and applies relatively easy. I heat the bottles up in warm water to increase the viscosity ( I live in michigan and in the winter I cant get my shop above 65 degrees ) which really helps the flow but be forewarned this really excites the setup time to about half. The T-88 is also a great product but is gummy in its application. It almost pulls away from itself when applied but the working time is longer and the end result is acceptable. Either product does the job but I go to system three as my first choice but work in really small batches when I apply. I sand down to 320 to get out the scratches from sanding and do that has a wet application. I have also mixed the system 3 with black aluminous oxide to add depth and volume to fill really large gaps and the results are exceptional and strong. You won't be disappointed with either product but they require practice!!!

Doesn't work on flexible plastics or even flexible plexiglass
You can get ripped off easy cause it's not a Strong Bond so if your gonna have weight on anything this will be used on or it will break

Products good, shipment method, not so much.
I've bought 2 orders of these in 1 quart sizes and both time have been shipped in a bubble mailer, and both times, one of the bottles have opened. Please ship these with more padding or in a shipping box!Other than that, the Epoxy works as it should. Cures pretty clear to a very rock hard state. I can't talk about the strength, as I haven't put them through any stress tests, but it seems to work for what I'm doing.Pros: Epoxy works great, and cures quicklyCons: Ships in a bubble mailer and has opened the last 2 times I've ordered!
