Innovative and authentic
An innovative and brilliantly organized guide for integrating the Yoga Sutras deeply and authentically. The author’s opening pathways to outside sources (QR codes) gives individuals the opportunity to discover new and wonderful resources for practicing. But most impressive are the well-honed explanations and descriptions of the sutras themselves. I’m loving this. 🙏

timeless wisdom of yoga written for a modern audience
This book was a fluid, well-written, easy to digest, read for anyone interested in the principals and foundations of yoga. It was complete, concise, and nicely sequenced. I find the yoga sutras to be a manual on how to live life in the best possible way (if there could be such a thing). Ram's rendition and interpretation makes it clear and simple, so the reader can break down the yoga sutras and apply them to their own existence. I will keep this copy for myself and will be purchasing my teenage boys their own copies of this wonderful manual on how to live life beautifully.

If you’re into Yoga, this will very probably be of interest to you.
This book appears to be essentially a distillation of the Sutras of Patanjali. The format is appealing to the eye and nails the key points of each Sutra. On the left side of each leaf is found the crux of the verbiage that is presented on the right. Each of those verbiage pages is a just few short paragraphs long, and at the bottom of those pages are suggestions of how to put each concept into use. The layout is extraordinarily user-friendly and the information is delivered in a very digestible manner. In spite of the book having well over 200 pages, it can be read through quite quickly! As regards the contents, I understand that statistically there are more humans on this planet that believe in reincarnation than those who believe you only live once.Karma in the YOLO religions is meted out on the day of judgement. In spite of subscribing to reincarnation, I am unable to believe in Karma. I would really like to, but I can’t.I am also unable to believe in super-powers that violate the laws of physics (levitation, etc).Whether or not many of the concepts expounded in this book spoken with the authority of “truth” are beyond anyone’s stretch of their belief system, I must assume that this is an accurate portrayal of Patanjali’s Sutras – which might be that is all it’s really intended to be.It’s very pretty book, it’s easy and fun to read. If you’re into Yoga, it will very probably be of interest to you.

As someone who is not deeply involved with the yoga community, I found this read very insightful with information that can easily be applied to improve your day-to-day life.I especially found the concepts related to maintaining an objective perspective regarding our own actions/thoughts/etc insightful. The format is extremely easy to read, and the content is accessible and enjoyable.I would recommend this read to anyone who is interested in improving their overall wellness.

When you're ready for more than just doing the poses
A well-written and beautifully presented book that will appeal to people who may have begun their yoga practices for physical reasons – fitness, strength, flexibility, balance, etc. – but who now may be moved to learn about the deeper metaphysical concerns yoga was originally intended to address. Western yoga practitioners who are also students of Buddhism will find that this book not only reinforces many beliefs they already hold but that it also provides a multitude of exercises and new approaches for reaching the ultimate goals of freedom and liberation from the mental and physical chains that tend to hold us back from the liberation we seek.
