Great little shovel
Recently I was doing some digging and grading in the yard to lay some stone. My 4 year old daughter kept saying she wanted a flat shovel like daddy. Well it would appear garden tools for kids don’t offer flat shovels. I came across this one. It’s perfect. Sturdy and light enough she can easily lift and use it. She loves it. It is worth noting that while I bought it for my daughter, this is a more than capable shovel. I have used it a few times. It’s perfect for tight spaces or if you need to kneel while edging or leveling dirt. It would also be perfect to keep in the car for emergencies, if you camp and need a shovel or anything where you’d need a sturdy compact shovel. I’d definitely buy again.

Tough little shovel
I've been using this shovel around the house and camping for a number of years now. A solid tool that fits in small spaces and is the right size for so many jobs.

Strong Spade
My wife and I went paddle in camping; It was about an hour to paddle to the island we were camping at. We got a late start so we brought limited supplies in our kayak. It took a bit longer since there was quite a bit of motorized boat traffic going around creating large wakes. When we approached the island, it was difficult to tell where the site was; we saw a sign and went for that. The sign may have been a site back in the past but wasn't when we got there. Since it was getting dark, we decided to make camp. I used this shovel to clear the area.I was originally looking at those folding shovels with about 1000 extra attachments. On paper those other shovels would have been a far better choice; however, I know how rough I am on tools and I am very glad I chose a regular spade instead even if it means I'll have to bring extra tools. It's very strong and a good price. I eventually did use it do dig a few holes and it works fine.Update: This little shovel was used during this winter storm Uri. Helped me shovel the snow and break up and move the ice below my vehicle to be able to get going. I dug out a few people and let a few borrow it. Lifesaver for sure! Great size; I had it tucked behind my seats of a 2005 Silverado single cab which already had a lot behind the seats. Everyone I used it with loved it and wanted to get one for emergencies. Funny I originally purchased this to bury waste and other minor things when camping but have yet to use it for that - easy camping usually has restrooms. 10/10 would highly recommend it.

Sturdy shovel, legit mini shovel.
I've been buying Bond garden tools for years since Benny's in Mass., and they are cheap yet quality tools. They won't survive a job site but great for home use. I melted once a little near a firepit and it still lasted another couple of years.Anyway enough about that, this tiny shovel is up there on greatest tools of all time and I've never seen another like it. It is a full functional version, in miniature, of Bond's normal short grip-handle garden spade. It's perfect for kids, as a regular size (regular for a kid) digging spade. It's perfect for adults as a mini-scale short grip-handle spade. It's comparable in size to a typical folding camp shovel, but obviously much more durable and fit for actual digging.

Well built, sturdy little shovel
I've long wanted a mini square point shovel to keep in my truck for emergencies. Everyone seems to want only round point which are great for digging holes but they are not very good at moving material such as snow, gravel or sand when your vehicle is stuck in snow or mud. I find that this shovel is well built and should serve efficiently in roadside emergencies. I took off one star because it is advertised as having a fiberglass handle. It does have a red plastic cover over the handle between the plastic D-grip and the blade. But if you look up at the junction where the handle is fitted to the shovel blade, you can see that the end of the handle is made of red painted wood. I don't have a problem with wood handles, it seems to be sufficiently strong. But it is not fiberglass and should not be advertised as such. Other than that, I have no complaint about this shovel. I expect it to last as long as I will need it and would recommend it to anyone who finds a square point shovel more useful than a round point.

Great small shovel
I got this to primarily mix concrete in a wheel barrow and shovel it back out. For that it works great. It seems well made overall

Wonderful for raised garden beds
I bought this nifty little shovel back in 2017 when it cost only $12. Six years later it is as good as when purchased. Complaints against it seem frivolous. It is exactly as described, a sturdy, short shovel. It's length is not a deficit. It's great for gardening in raised beds and digging miniature ponds.Regarding complaints about rust, I can attest that my shovel is cleaned after each use and hung up to dry. It has not rusted. If you need a small, strong shovel (and one easily transportable), this is the shovel for you.One last thought. Unless a product is inferior, why criticize the origin of it? China exports junky products, but when they turn out a good product, why not applaud? This is an honest review.

Well made
We got this shovel for our son and it’s been so great. He previously had cheaper version that bent in half. It’s so sturdy and well made.
