These Hummingbird earrings are part of the Artist's Collection. The technique used is known as "Basse-taille" from the French word meaning "low-cut". The surface of the metal is decorated with a low relief design which can be seen through translucent and transparent enamels

She loved the ear rings. They look fantastic. Well worth the price.

Painful to wear
Beautiful earrings; however, the posts are way too thick. They are much thicker than the standard posts on pierced earrings. The earrings were painful to wear. The further the posts went into the earlobe (closer to the hummingbird), the thicker the posts were and therefore became even more painful.

Beautiful ONE PAIR of earrings
A well made beautiful pair of earrings. I knew what I was buying so I ignored the description mentioning an agate jewel, silver chain, lobster claw, and four pair. Would someone please correct this.
