A: I have not put mine in the dishwasher but only because I don’t use my dishwasher all of the time not because I am afraid to do so.

A: No its not magnetic! It has a hole in end of handle and I hang it on a hook!

A: If your meat is very large this will beat it nicely by wrapping your meat in a thin protectorate. I use plastic wrap so that it will take a pounding evenly and come out thin yet relaxed.

There is not much to overcomplicate here — it is basically a kitchen hammer, but it is a good one. The KitchenAid quality feels solid, and it works well for pounding meat evenly.
