Great hood for a great price
This hood is a great upgrade to any standard hood that was installed in your house. It looks great, is super easy to install, and runs just as good as described. Super powerful. Not very loud. The lights on it was very bright and help light up your cooking area. I had some issues with the gesture control being very hard to activate. I contacted Dory at customer service and she hooked me up with a new control system. Good works great now and the touch less features are an added bonus. Dory at customer service was great and helped out with any concerns and even touched up with me to make sure everything went as planned. Dory is great and I highly recommend this brand

Light makes humming sound
Update After I mentioned a light humming issue in my review, the company reached out right away to help. First, they sent replacement bulbs and a new control panel, but the humming was still there. Next, they sent a new power panel—which completely fixed the problem. I worked with Emma during the whole process, and she was a pleasure to deal with. Her follow-up was excellent—she even responded immediately when I updated her at 4 a.m. Eastern that everything was finally working! The product itself deserves 5 stars, but their customer service deserves 100. It’s rare these days to find a company with this level of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction. Highly recommended! Love the fan however when light is on it makes a very loud hum that over time gets irritating. Other than that love it Revised so I wrote the review above then recieved a message from IKTCH apologizing for the issue and offered a full refund. I thought wow what a great company this is and was very impressed. So I did what email said and typed in full refund and never received any answer or reply back. I’m not sure if this was a scam or what but went from happy to disappointed. This is what I recieved and I replied 3 times asking for the full refund with no response so very confused 1 Hi Michael: Seller iKTCH has a message for you. --- Message from seller iKTCH: Thank you for purchasing from our brand, IKTCH, on Amazon. On July 20, 2025 you left the following review of our product: ----------------------- Light makes humming sound Love the fan however when light is on it makes a very loud squeal that over time gets irritating. Other than that love it ----------------------- Turn up volume should hear the high pitch squeal on video. Other than that it’s beautiful matches our black stainless appliances perfect.

Lot of air circulation, low noise
Great product. Out of the box, installation was not difficult but that is also because I replaced an existing vent. Even if it was on a new wall, I don’t think installation would be an issue for someone who is a bit handy with tools. Removing the protective film was a job for sure. After installing, this works great. It has been about 4 weeks and the fan is quiet, and the flow of air is great. It moves a lot of air at lowest speed and we have mostly used it on 1 or 2 speed while doing a lot of Indian cooking. The hood is large and looks nice and sturdy. The bad - the motion sensor worked for first 10 minutes. It doesn’t matter what I do now, it does not work. The buttons to turn on the light and fan are all touch buttons. You must look at the button and press the right place, and sometime I have to find the right place to press the button. They really should replace it with something else. Other issue is how it changes the speed. You must go linear from speed 1 to 2 to 3 and 4, and then off. So from speed 1 to turn off, you must press the button 4 times. You can hit the power button as well, but that mean next time you need to power on before use it. It’s just bad interface. The best part is how much airflow it handles at a low noise. The filters are high quality and I can put them in dishwasher. I think it is great value for money.

Best customer service - What we were looking for in a range hood
Installation on this was overall fairly easy. I think the trickiest part was getting the two U shaped sleves not to scratch each other while you push them up where you need them to measure where exactly things will go prior to final installation. Upon initially unboxing the instructions said to test the functionality, so I did that, however testing the motion sensing didn't "A" sound like something I needed to test, and "B" didn't describe how to really get it to work very easily so since everything else worked fine, whisper quiet, we proceeded with the install. Once installed, the motion was infact not working :(. Reaching out to amazon they did offer to do a refund on it even though it was a few days past the refund window. However I asked if the company instead could fix it as we really wanted to keep the unit. The only thing this unit could do better than its advertised to do is turn on automatically when it detects a specific level of heat below [we all can dream]. Upon discussing the issues with the company we did have to provide a great deal of details to identify if this unit was part of a bad batch of units with regards to motion. Upon completing that, they very quickly like almost over night sent a replacement sensor bar, and it was not too hard to swap out. We are so happy with the look, ease of use, and its overal functionality with regards to getting cooking smoke/steam up and out quickly and quietly. It does fit 9' ceilings with a very gracious amount of space between the cook surface and the unit excellent for GAS ranges. Very easy to clean so far.

Great!
Bought this to replace my old exhaust fan. I did a lot of research about features, installation and quality. I was surprised at the quality of this unit. it's heavy duty steel and solid construction. I did a lot of planning for the installation and it was fairly easy to install. Just make sure you know where your wall studs are. It's powerful and had easy to clean filters. I initially had issues with the usage of the gestures for increasing and decreasing the fan speed. I reached out the support and they were extremely helpful and thorough with there responses. After several messages, I was able to get it to work again. While the fan is not whisper quiet, it is not considering the power. The shutoff timer is extremely convenient . Thanks!

Beautiful
Absolutely love my new hood range, installation went smooth. Looks fabulous good quality, quiet, and the light gives it a beautiful look. Just don’t know why I would’ve used a remote control for it. I’m normally standing in front of the stove when I’m cooking, but it does come with remote control.

Product and service are great!
Originally was missing a part, but customer service sent one the same day even though we purchased month ago (building a new home). They were responsive and kind. Product works great and looks amazing in our new log home kitchen.

Showed up Damaged
This is a really nice hood for the price. Looks great, and the fan seems good. Love the stainless steel permanent baffle filters. Just pop them in the dishwasher. Although the lights are bright, they are a cool white (blue-ish hue) not soft white (warmer hue). Food looks way better under soft white, and most kitchens (indeed most home interiors) are lit with soft white light. So your hood light probably won't match your other lighting. Love the touch controls, especially that they are on both sides. But setting the time is not intuitive. And even though either control panel operates the fan functions and lights, the digital time display in each panel needs to be set separately. Obviously, it's two separate clocks. Weirdly, the chimney sleeves and perforated steel angle-iron brackets are too long to hang from a standard 8-foot ceiling -- at least to install it at 30" above a cooktop that's at normal counter height. I had to cut everything down, which would be daunting for any DIYer who doesn't have an easy way to cut through the heavy sheet steel. I used an angle grinder. This is a ducted hood, which means it is vented to the exterior. I vented mine through the attic and out the roof. But the hood came with the ductless inner chimney (vent slots in the sides). It would've been so easy for the manufacturer to drill mounting holes at BOTH ends of the inner chimney, so you could flip it around and install it without the vent slots at the top. But no. There is no opening in the ceiling bracket to accommodate the power cord, probably because they figure you'll use the flexible duct they supply and just squeeze the cord through the ceiling vent hole beside the duct. But I used rigid 6" duct, all the way, and there was no way to feed the cord through the ceiling through the bracket. So I had to cut the plug off and feed the cord up into the ceiling through a small hole I made between the outside edge of the ceiling bracket and the stainless chimney sleeve. Up in the attic, I attached a screw-on plug and plugged it into an outlet I installed. The hood arrived in great shape, mainly thanks to the rigid molded styrofoam clamshell encasing it inside a heavy-duty cardboard box. But the unit was manufactured with heavy protective film in place on the stainless steel, instead of having the film applied after the hood was assembled. And the film is a nightmare to remove, especially from the seams. You have to partially disassemble the hood to get all the film out of the underside (so it doesn't melt into blue goo and weld itself to the hood when you cook, especially the light panels). But good luck getting all the film off of the upper exterior of the hood. Seriously, plan on spending an hour or two. And you still won't get it all. By the time you're done, you'll have to clean all your fingerprints off the hood, because the film adhesive is so strong, you have to brace the hood with your other hand when you pull off the film. It's ridiculous. Bad, bad, bad customer experience. Oh...and take the protective film off of the interior chimney before you install the hood. Impossible to remove all the film otherwise. In summary, once you set the clocks, you've done that, and the annoyance is soon forgotten (at least until the next power outage). In time, you'll forget you had to figure out how to custom-cut the chimney sleeves. And eventually, I suppose you'll forget the complete mess and waste of time caused by the way-too-strong protective film on most surfaces and the fact that it was sealed into the seams during manufacturing. I haven't looked yet, but you can probably find different puck lights with a warmer hue, so your food doesn't look like something in a coroner's video. And then you'll forget that too. After you've forgotten all these seriously annoying things, you'll be left with a nice-looking hood that works well and hopefully will for a long time. So, yay. But unless you drill your own mounting holes at the other end of the interior chimney sleeve (hope they line up), you'll have to look at those vent slots at the top forever. Dang. I'd still recommend this, because it is a good value. And forewarned is forearmed. Learn from my experience, and enjoy your hood.
