Although anyone would enjoy this book, it is geared more for younger readers. The book is short and succinct and provides a good overview of Ms. Bly's record breaking trip around the world. What makes this book even more poignant is the fact that she was a woman in a "mans world" at the tail-end of the 1880's, challenging the status quo and inspiring women everywhere. She was one of the original proponents of "ultra-light travel" (now so highly regarded) and was clearly ahead of her time as demonstrated by her solo trip around the world and her accomplishments later in life.There are only a few nitpicky reasons I've knocked this book to four stars. Throughout the book the author consistently refers to Bly by her full name (Nellie Bly). It's never just Nellie or Ms Bly. It's a small caveat, but a little irksome when reading the book. The book could have also benefited from a more detailed map of Nellie's circumnavigation of the globe. Lastly, a little more detail would have been nice. Her trans-oceanic crossings for example take up less than 10 pages. The addition of 25 (large print) pages with a few more detailed accounts of her trip would have made this book a little richer. Again, this book is geared toward younger audiences, so the writing style can be easily overlooked. This is a quick and easy read and a nice introduction for those who want to delve more deeply into Nellie Bly's remarkable life. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Are you ready for an advanture? *by M***S on Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2014* In the marvelous book, It Can't Be Done Nellie Bly!, many things happen. There is a fearless reporter racing around the world in 72 days time! Her dangerous race is important for her job as a newspaper writer. She is the only woman to be in the newspaper business and the first woman to sail around the world!On her nerve wracking journey she encounters many problems and solutions. Nellie figures out that she has competition. She is determined to win this epic race around the world.I think people would like this if they are ready for adventure. It is definitely worth reading and I, personally, would love to read it again. Any age would enjoy this book but I recommend it for ages 7-40 years old. It could be great for anyone though.My favorite part was when she figured out there was determined competition. The fun-filled event really makes the story much, much more interesting after that.Want to find out more? I was totally interested and didn't put it down until I had to but I checked it out. This afternoon my daughter needed a book- she is not into non-fiction at all and when I offered it (without saying what it was) she asked, "Is it a true story? I don't like true stories."
