A book to read to my new Grandbaby
Sweet little book to read and play with my new Grandchild. Pictures are adorable and the verses are cute. We all took a book for the Baby Shower and this was mine.

Delightful. Important.
A wonderful read with our grandchild. We love exploring the sweet pictures and the musical rhythm of the words. It is not a storybook. It is not a civics lesson. What is is an engaging introduction to the truth that, with all that may appear different about us, we are all fundamentally alike. Some reviewers object, arguing that not everyone does have 10 fingers and 10 toes, feeling the book should cover all there is to say instead of its more important role as a starting point for conversations with little ones. Not that readers are compelled to stick to the script. (You want to add something? Go for it!)I do, though, at the adorable finish. When read to our personal little ones, they’re fully aware the words are aimed specifically at them. So: a book aimed at little ones—as they get to know the world—that delights in the ways children can be different, while recognizing the fundamental ways in which we’re alike, and concludes with words that bring home the love it’s been about all along. That’s an awful lot for a book to do, and it does so beautifully.

If I could give it a 10, I would!
My 9 month old daughter loves this book. We've had it a couple of weeks and have read it to her every night. I decided to write this review after I recited the entire book to my work colleague - my enthusiasm apparently knows no bounds. The story is lovely and is just the right length for a young child and the illustrations hold my daughter's attention - in fact, she tries to lift the babies off the page.But.... the best part about this book, for us, is that the pages are the right size and just the right thickness that our daughter has started turning them by herself (we bought the board book version). In fact, she is turning them in time to our voice, because there are just the right number of words per page too. This has been such fun for us as new(ish) parents and she's now started turning the pages in her other books. I would love this book forever, just for that alone, but it really is a lovely, simple, children's story and perfect for bedtime.

A family favorite
We have been reading this book to our child since birth and now she loves babies. We even made a little song out of it which is catchy. This is the book I get for all of my friends during their baby shower.

Favorite book to have and gift
Living in the times we do, it's important to share books with my daughter that celebrate diversity and different ethnicities. This book is beautifully illustrated with babies from various parts of the world. The unifying theme is no matter our differences, we all have "ten little fingers and ten little toes." :-)The rhyming and repetition are also great for babies and toddlers. The pictures are lovely and the large-scale of the book is fun to lay in our laps while we read. It's also been a great book to gift since it's not as well known so less likely to get purchased by multiple people. My 15 month old has loved this book since she was 6 months old and I don't see us putting it down for a long while. Highly recommended!

Broken book binding.
Not necessarily that other should know, but the binding broke in two days with a 1.5 year old reading this book with adults, I have many cardboard books, this should not happen? Guessing I got a bad book. 😩Cj
