Good but … a sticker stating that the plastic used is recycled … very hard to remove without scratching the garbage bin !

These are beautiful cans. I purchased 2 cans 18 years ago and they are still going strong. I just purchased 2 more in the dark grey because they blend well with the darker island color in my new home. I use one for recycle and one for trash. I moved one of the old ones to the outside patio, and the other one into the garage. They are both still functioning normally. The lids on these are very sturdy, open and close, quietly, and the lids have held up without damage for 18 years. I do use regular trash bags in them, and the bags are completely hidden under the lid. I do not buy the custom made trash bags.

This is a smaller can, with very narrow bags. We bought this to accompany the 16 gallon version and use the smaller one as a recycling bin. We've had another bin from this brand in the house for over 6 years and they hold up very well. Warranty was needed once and the replacement part (the small clip the lid clips to) was shipped out immediately and at no cost. You can buy with confidence as this company stands behind their products.

Our first one lasted 18 years, including moving 3 times across the country. The air vents and inner liner make it really easy to pull bags out (no vacuum effect). The latch mechanism finally broke in a way it can't be repaired. Our new one has a new latch design which looks easier to replace and won't fail the same way the last one did. Expect this one to last 20 years too!

The lid did not work within days of the purchase... I have an older version of this can and have had a good experience with it and I simply wanted newer and cleaner one. But the this new one is made of inferior materials such as lighter metal base and the plastic portion of the cover, which is the really important part of this whole trash can, is made of a poor quality material and engineering, thus failing within days!!! Very disappointed in the quality going down over the years!!!

Even if it is expensive, we find the design and the quality worth it. We have already 2 same bins and they fit in modern design very nice. Recommended.

I bought this for our new kitchen and it looks really nice. It’s easy to use, just press the lid and it pops open. Good stability and easy to remove the rubbish bag. Our last Brabantia bin is still going strong 16 years later and I think this one will match that.

Leider musste ich den Mülleimer 2x zurück schicken (noch neu, verpackt), denn auf der unteren Seite hatten die beiden bis zu 8 Beulen drin. Direkt nach dem Auspacken, alle in einer Reihe. Den 3. dann behalten, denn der hat ja lediglich „nur“ 2 kleine Beulen. Was mir als kleinstes Übel erschien.
