Bilingual Bright Baby: Colors / Colores (Spanish Edition)

This is a great bilingual colors board book! My little one loves it. I think the fact that they use real pictures, as opposed to cartoon drawings, is the biggest attraction for her. We soon found that we could call out a color in either Spanish or English and our 1 year old would turn to the correct page and point. That shows me that it held her interest and she has learned from it. I think it's simplicity is why it really works. Little children need to start off with simple books with uncluttered pages. With a single object per page they get to see the item in all its detail, without being confused by multiple items. It's a great learning tool to add to your collection. We have most certainly gotten our money's worth. I highly recommend it.

The books has a lot of pictures for a board book. The colors are bright and it's very well written! I can't wait for my lil one to get here so I can read it to her. I'm sure it's going to be one of her favorite book 💝

I do not speak any Spanish but I want to help my 9 month daughter learn English and spanish. This book has beautiful pictures and easy words for us to learn together. Getting her to learn words will help us learn phrases .

All of the children on my school bus also take Spanish. I ordered a copy of this book for each of them.

We own all four books in this collection. We are a bilingual household and this books are a great tool for building vocabulary for our son. He loves to look at the pictures and point at them and wait for me to say the word. He is one now but we have been reading them since he was 5 or 6 month old. He can look at the pages of these books for an hour. It's amazing how engaged he can be with these little books. They have one picture per page. Very simple, just the picture of the object and the words written below. The pages are not super busy like other picture books that have tons of objects per page. I believe this is highly effective in keeping my baby engaged.

I bought this to read with my baby. She isn't born yet but I start reading to my children the day they're born and I expected to get a couple of years of use front this one in particular. I expected a simple book with colors in spanish and english but it has many, many other words as well! Which is a huge bonus for me considering I'm trying to learn spanish myself and it's overwhelming and time consuming to find vocab to go over. It will be convenient for the two of us to learn together!

The is a sturdy board book which includes real pictures to show the colors-ex. yellow: amarillo with a picture of cheese and a duckling. Book contains many colors in English and Spanish-yellow, blue, green, pink, white, purple, orange, black, red, silver, gold, brown and gray. Will be a hit with my preschoolers! My complaint is that the back cover of the book has some kind of black, greasy substance on it and dents/scratches. Most likely something that happened in shipping b/c another book I received today has the same issues.

This book is great! Not only does it have the colors in English and Spanish, but also examples with their names in English and Spanish. I originally bought the Animales and the Colores book but now that I have them both I think I could have gone with just the Colores, since it includes lots of animals in it as well. Nice vibrant pictures and colors.

Love it love it love it. My son is enthralled, probably as much due to my own enthusiasm but the books are solid, bright and eye-catching - just what you want for a baby.

Compré este libro pensando que aún era pronto para mi hija de 12 semanas y nos hemos quedado impresionados al mostrárselo simplemente "para que supiera que tenía ese libro". Al ver cómo lo miraba se lo hemos enseñado al completo dos veces y no apartó la vista ni un segundo, lo cual es sorprendente porque hasta ese momento estaba muy inquieta. ¡Le ha encantado! Es de un tamaño perfecto para manejarlo junto a tu hijo/a y los colores son muy llamativos. Utiliza fotografías reales de animales y objetos y tiene aspecto de ser muy duradero a tenor del material utilizado en su fabricación. Por último decir que están escritos los objetos en inglés y español (el único perro es "car/carro" en lugar de coche). Encantados con el libro.
