We had one just like this years ago but somewhere along the line it was lost, probably by breakage in one of our moves. Finally found this one to replace that old one and are delighted to have it. It cooks the bacon uniformly and cleans easily. Recommend it highly.

Glass is the perfect for that weight to keep, bacon flat, hamburgers well cooked and just right grilled cheese. The tempered glass is break resistant and easy to clean and perfect for non-stick coated sauté pans.I use it almost daily. I could not recommend more. For those who ask if it is heavy enough - yes.

Small handle piece missing but we made do. Nice piece.

I love this. We use it to flatten our bacon, and I love being able to keep an eye on it through the glass, and the fact that it fits under my pan lid. The one caveat I have isthat you'll want to remove the handle to clean the grease out every time you use it, but that's just a minor inconvenience.

Very disappointing. The first use, the plastic washer melted and the handle fell off. This is a bacon press and I'm not sure why they sent a plastic washer. Hard to clean as grease got under the handle. I replaced washer with normal metal one. Second use, the part between the handle and the glass split into 3 pieces when I tried to tighten the screw. I used very little pressure and the screw wasn't tight. I use a bacon press regularly and I hate the rust that gets on the towel or counter while it is drying so a glass press seemed like a great idea. This one, however, was not made well.

Hey, my wife scoffed and my friends laughed when I said "I wonder if I can find a tempered glass bacon press?" Since I eat bacon 3-4 mornings a week I want it DONE and done right. Its not that I have anything against curly bacon. Its just that I like it cooked to a juice crispness all over without the bulges that didn't lay in the pan well enough to belay any concerns of trichinosis. (although I don't know anyone who has been diagnosed with trichinosis except from eating bear meat). Thus began my search on the net which took all of 30 seconds. Yes it is one more utensil to clean but it is flat smooth glass and takes only a moment to clean or put it in the dish washer. My only wish is that it had been slightly bigger to cover more bacon.

I've never had a bacon press before and I'm so glad I bought this! I used a lower heat setting and was very happy with the outcome. This cover is surprising light but holds the bacon flat against the pan surface. The bacon cooked completely. I stayed with it though and watched carefully but it was easier than without a bacon press. I highly recommend this product.
