A few days after relocating to a different area, my license plate was stolen and after spending an entire day at the police department and tag office, an activity I didn't want to repeat, I decided to order this hardware and am glad I did. I have peace of mind in knowing that my license plate is more of a challenge to remove than the traditional hardware that can easily be removed with any screwdriver. It's a fact that license plate theft is on the rise so the cost of this anti-theft hardware is a cheap price to pay for added security. This item came with a lot of extra stuff I didn't need and couldn't use. I only needed the screws and driver bit, which I ordered from a different seller previously but never received (ordered this 2x more expensive set after $ was refunded). This is the downside to this set: unusable and unnecessary extras included which equates to a much higher price than it should be. Overall, I would purchase this set again (quick shipping, convenience, etc.)

The 3rd photo shows a star nut with 5 flanges, which is unique and harder to come by, but this is just regular 6-sided Torx screws, so not sure why I am being sold security screws.The directions cover multiple sets, but nothing specific. Yeah, they are screws, nothing hard, but if you didnt know where to put the washers in relation to the bolts, these won't help you one bit.Go to an autoparts store and save yourself the frustration.

These are pretty good screws for securing your plates and frames to your car. Definitely a deterrent and good secure method in preventing theft. The nut that goes on the back cannot be hand tightened and does require a wrench to be held on it while you tighten the screw from the front. This can be pretty challenging depending on your application and how accessible the back of your bumper is. But I suppose this adds to the security.

I’d recommend not using the shock absorbing foam stickers or the lock nuts or bolts. I just used the caps and the screws into the plastic plate holder on the front of my vehicle. Rear plates tend to be screwed into the metal and I don’t know that these would work best back there. Time will tell as to how they hold up.

I was able to easily switch out the screws that come with my license plate, for these screws. However the black caps meant to cover the them did not fit. At first try it was easy to see they were too big, I tried rotating them, and while they did sit on top of the screws, it was easy to see they wouldn't stay there long. Sure enough I lost all but 1 of them in no time. I looked for a means to contact seller to request another set of just the caps but didn't see anything. it's not worth it to take everything off to return the set. I was thinking about calling Amazon but don't know if I even feel like going through all that....

I used this for securing the front license plate on my new vehicle. Everything fit as designed. I was able to use the tool provided in the package to secure the screws. The black caps clicked in without much fuss at all and looks really nice. I didn't need to use the nuts, so I put those in my spare bin.

Great quality, good looking finish and it’ll keep the honest people honest. If someone wants my vanity plate, they might get it, but they’re going to spend all day trying! The foam spacers are a nice touch for all the dirt road driving I do. Very pleased.

The licence plate frame accessories (anti theft screws) arrived without any issues which was appreciated. They were very easy to use and hold the frame in place as these were anti theft. They are also non rusting which makes me happy with all the salt they use on the roads. It's just a small matter, but I think an important one to be certain you frame and plate are secure as well as protected. I would recommend this product
