I am very glad I bought this Margarita Maker. I have been wanting a machine like this for years,especially after I had my home bar built in my basement. It really completes my setup. It was a huge hit at my Superbowl party! Everyone loved it and it was the talk of the party for quite a bit. Even my guests who do not drink alcohol were requesting "virgin" frozen drinks. They were so tasty and everyone was coming up to me requesting a cup of the margaritas once I started serving them.The drinks were frozen in no time. In about 30 minutes, you can have nicely frozen delicious drinks. The machine seems well built and nicely designed and fun to operate. It has a really nice presence on my bar top and helps my bar to look like the real deal.It's really easy to operate and clean, however, I really wish it was a better way to collect any left over drink in either of the containers. The way it designed, if you have left over drink that you want to refrigerate and use for later, if is difficult to do so without spilling some of the liquid since when you lift the container, there will be a huge hole where the cooling unit fits into the container and this is where drink can spill out. I will try using a large turkey baster to suck the liquid out instead.Additionally, the rumors are true...the machine is a bit loud. I was first worried that it would be a huge distraction at my party and that I would not be able to use it while watching TV or a movie but to my surprise, the noise actually fades into the background during a party. I even just watched a basketball game this evening while the machine was making me a delicious frozen margarita and it did not bother me at all. I would not have thought it could be when I first turned the machine on but you actually can get used to how loud it is and it sort of becomes like white noise during a party or easily drowned out by music or a television.I was especially impressed with the support I received from day one from Margarita Girl before I even bought the machine, throughout the purchasing and shipping process. They were great communicators.They also went above and beyond to make me a satisfied customer so I feel really good about this purchase and doing business with them again. Overall, I highly recommend this product.

Wonderful but very noisey

Used it 3 times so far, worked awesome. I recommend "margarita man" mix, follow instructions on the bottle, tasted great. Machine worked awesome, froze fast when refilled during use. Took about 3 hours to freeze initially with booze in the mix, but was expected as it was pretty hot the days I used it and had it outside; once frozen maintained perfectly. If having a big party, I recommend having a big container to mix and then you can lift lid and refill a little at a time as needed. Takes some time to clean thoroughly, but pretty basic assembly and pretty easy once you do it first time.

I have had this product for 4 months now and wanted to see how it held up after multiple uses before writing a review. Well I can tell you that this is the best thing I've ordered online in the past 5 years!! The customer service was awesome from the beginning when I was made aware that the product was shipping from the manufacturer in Texas. Once it arrived it was ready to use right out of the box with very little assembly required. I followed the instructions to make sure the sugar content of my drink mix was right and within 40 minutes had a delicious slushy that was restaurant quality. I've tried a lot of different mixes and as long as the sugar content is correct you can't make a mistake. I keep the machine in a covered lanai outside in Florida, so it takes a little longer for the mix to slush, but that's OK with me. This machine has taken our pool parties to the next level and I'm always looking to see what new flavors we can combine. The machine does make a little noise when in use, but nothing that impedes with regular conversation or music around it. The unit is very easy to clean and operate. It has exceeded my expectation.

The slush machine far exceeded my expectations. It is the perfect size for the home bar and works great. I highly recommend spending the extra money and purchasing the double bowl, opposed to the single one. This allows for two different flavors (e.g. one non-alcohol for the kids and one with) or a lot of just one. Also, if you pre-make your mix and refrigerate it ahead of time, it allows for the slushie mixture to freeze quicker. I think the biggest challenge is getting recipes. However, I found a few recipes on line to share, just purchase a food grade mixing jug with a top and measuring lines to pre-make a head of time:Strawberry Daiquiri (1.25 liters lite rum, 1/2 gallon strawberry mix, add water to make 2.5 gallons)Pina Colada (I liter light rum, 1/2 gallon pina colada mix, add water to make 2.5 gallons)Margarita (1 liter tequila, 1/2 liter of triple sec, 1/4 gallon Margarita mix, add water to make 2 gallons)Strawberry Margarita (1 liter tequila, 1/2 triple sec, 1/4 gallon margarita mix, 1/4 gallon of strawberry mix (a little over this, so there is more strawberry than margarita), add water to make 2 gallons)

The mix freezes, completely freezes, no matter what I do. There is a min and max setting and it doesn't matter. Once it starts freezing, there is no stopping it. This is a legit review not a joke, but in an effort to keep it from freezing (so that it would actually pour) I kept adding alcohol to it. Everyone got reaaaallllly messed up that night (and it still froze). It's cool as a novelty, but it's not functional like you want it to be. You have to turn it off and let it melt some then start it back or take the lid off and mix it to get it to pour. It's just a mess. Then clean up takes a while too. There has to be a better unit out there. If you're going to spend this much money on a machine, look others. It's super cool having one of these things, but it's extremely disappointing when it doesn't work and you have to micromanage it constantly. I've used it a dozen or more times and nothing works.
