Very good for hiking beside snow walking.
This is better than the chain like one, this one spike is a little bigger than others which is very good for hiking beside snow walking, it make safer to hike while carrying toddler.

No broken bones due to ice!!!
Awesome! Last year when the snow was melting, I slipped on black ice and shattered my wrist. Not gonna happen this year!! Thanks to these cleats.

easy to apply, stays on without any issues, great grip.
This is something that I have been looking to purchase for a while but I have always thought that applying it and using it every time I go out in a snowy and icy day would be incontinent to put on and off during that cold, this took me 15 seconds to put on not even and it stays in place very well.I used to always be anxious when I do hiking or walk around on icy train to take photos or videos with my expensive camera since I can fall at any moment, these anti slip spikes would always hold me where I stand, was definitely a worthy purchase. If you like this review please click the helpful button, Thank you :)

Aggressive snow/ice cleats with super grip.
With winter now upon us, I wanted to get my wife some ice cleats for when we go for walks in the ravine, and it is slipper with snow and ice. These cleats are super aggressive, and dig into the snow and ice almost like crampons. The larger cleats on the bottom mean that you have really good grip, but make sure you remove them before walking on decks/flooring etc. They do leave puncture marks on the decking. They are easy to put on and take off, but a little more difficult with mitts on. I bought the size 8 to 11, and they fit my wife's size 9 without any issue. I am a size 11.5 and they would squeeze over my tennis shoes, but not anything bigger (light hikers or snow boots) Walking with the cleats takes a little getting used to as they do not slip at all and the spikes stick down just enough that you have to take more deliberate steps to avoid catching the spikes mid stride. I would recommend a less aggressive spike for seniors, to prevent accidental falls from catching the spikes between steps. All in all, these are a good product. I will revisit this review to comment on their longevity, once we have been using them for a longer period of time.

Heavy Duty, worked on rought terrain and for Tree Climbing
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I was cutting down a few trees and wanted something i could dig my shoes into while resting up top. I came across these crampons and they worked like a charm. Super light and easy to put on my sneakers, very tight grip using the rubbers. I have not tested them on ice yet, but if i can stay on a tree, I'm sure I can walk safely on ice. The great thing is anyone can borrow them and you can swap them between shoes and even dress shoes and then put them in a case, brilliant little invention.

Immediate concerns - the rubber connecting to each string or leg of grips looks sketchy
I've used these for hiking and walking around the neighborhood (we just had 24" of snow and cold), and they do work very well.I hike approx. 25mi weekly average and although I've not used these nearly as much hiking, I like they come in a pouch so when I'm not using them, I zip em up and leave them in my pack. They are light..ish, if you are an ultra hiker, these won't cut the weight issues. However for most, they will fit nicely in your jacket pocket for when you do need them.I see other reviews showing them broken and I can see exactly where the weak spot is on mine and am pretty confident these will do the same, I do keep my Kathoola's with me as well so if they do on the hike, I'll carry the out and trash them at the exit.Seems the links and spikes may be stainless as they claim, not that it matters to me, rust however is an issue. I tend to hang my stuff up after a hike (snowshoes, etc.) so I'll do the same and see. If they rust then it's coated steel not stainless or super cheap.Overall they fit well enough, no need to add a strap, although I over pronate when I walk so it's always an adjustment no matter what I wear so I can't blame the design of them.Time will tell folks, but I can safely say, these are not a 3 year plan.

Wow! I never knew haw great cleats work!
I went the other day (Feb 5th) to Mount Nemo in Burlington. For those of you that don't know the place, it is a small conservation area on top of the Niagara escarpment with trails going through wooded areas and at the ridge of the escarpment. The trails are a mixture of dirt, roots and rocks.I've never used cleats before so I was a bit apprehensive as to how they would work on the trail but I am mind blown by how good they were. There was ice, snow, rocks and roots on the trail with a temperature of approx -4C and the cleats worked perfect on all surfaces, although I tried to avoid as much as possible walking directly on the rock formations ... just in case.Walking on ice however was a breeze. People next to me were toddling slowly, losing their traction every now and then, while I just I whizzed right past them.I had the cleats on for approx 2 hours on thick soles. I could barely feel the cleats through my soles for the most of that time, although by the end of the two hours I had started feel them a bit more.I just wish that I had bought these cleats several years ago instead of struggling not to slip on the trails.
