I purchased this trim for an 1890's gown I created. It is essentially as described but there are flaws throughout - so, if you can deal with that or work around them, it really dresses up a creation! Luckily, most of the flaws in my roll were near the end, so I just started using it after that part but there are still a few areas where the sequins or gold enhancements don't line up or the "scrolls" are wonky... I didn't want to spend the time or effort to cut out one or two crazy bits and match up the nice ones. It just isn't worth it to me... plus, I estimate it's a little tough to scrutinize my skirt while I'm walking. I was going for the overall aesthetic. Overall, quite pleased and will use again... there is quite a bit on a roll, so I will be putting it on many other things, I'm sure.

This came out beautiful on my sewing projects. My only issue is the inconsistency of the trimming. There are some parts of the lace where the trimming is incomplete or falling apart. I've had to cut here and there to avoid the "not so pretty" parts of the lace. Sucks when it's right in the middle of the piece that's visible. Still nice though.

I design dance apparel. This is a very beautiful trim; however, it is much wider than the picture. So, I had to cut it in half to get the look I wanted. But, in the long run, I got double the yardage that way. :~)
