Step 1: Psyching Myself Up to Draw Blood The kit arrives, and I’m feeling like a scientist. I unpack everything, read the instructions (kind of), and prepare to test my ketones. There’s just one problem—I have to prick my own finger. I stare at the tiny lancet. It stares back. I count down. I hesitate. I count down again. My wife walks in, sees me sweating over a needle the size of a mosquito, and walks out shaking her head. Finally, I gather the courage, jab my finger, and… IT’S NOT THAT BAD. I instantly feel like a warrior. Step 2: The Numbers Don’t Lie I put the blood on the strip, insert it into the meter, and BOOM—my results appear. At first, I don’t know what they mean, so I Google it. Turns out, I’m officially in ketosis. I feel like an elite biohacker, even though five minutes ago I was terrified of a tiny needle. Step 3: The Obsession Begins Now, I can’t stop testing. I start: ✔ Testing first thing in the morning. ✔ Testing after every meal. ✔ Testing after looking at a slice of bread, just to make sure. At one point, I test my ketones so often that my fingers look like a pin cushion, and my wife tells me to stop “playing doctor” and eat my dinner. Final Verdict – A Must-Have for Keto Addicts This kit is super easy to use, surprisingly painless, and makes me feel like a mad scientist tracking my own metabolism. If you’re serious about keto, you need this. Just be prepared for the emotional journey of stabbing yourself daily and celebrating ketone levels like they’re lottery numbers. – Would stab my fingers again.

There is no way to get replacement strips for these, and they fail to read constantly. You have to get everything exactly perfect for it to give you a reading, and I don't even know how accurate they are - but you will only get 10 of them max with this device. I ordered a 50 pack of replacement strips and after Amazon lost it in transit, the product became unavailable and has stayed that way for weeks now. Don't bother with this company even if it saves you a couple bucks in the short term.

Works good. It's a little more difficult to set up. It's accurate. But shpuld come with more than just 10 strips.

Purchased for my type 1 daughter who was away at college. Delivery was prompt.

The meter works well. Same as a blood glucose meter, except for ketones. Just as easy to use. Invaluable if you are doing a serious Keto diet and need to know what works and what's a problem for you. The only problem is the test strips. It comes with ten, but buying the replacement test strips for this particular meter is nearly impossible. Amazon lists them, but they are nearly always out of stock.

I am a newbie to Keto Dieting. There has been so much hype about keto that I had to do my own research. I read through most of the reviews on the different meters, especially the negative, 1-star, ones. What I found was that even the so called highest rated meter had some sort of issue. So I took a gamble on KetoTrak due to its affordability. I will say I was a little nervous...because at the time of my purchase, Dec 5, 2019, there were only a few reviews on amazon. But after using the kit for nearly a month and surviving the holiday treats, I can honestly say I am extremely happy with my choice. As of the time of this review, I have not had any issues with the Code Chips I’ve used and my readings seem to be within range. No crazy gaps and no issues matching up the Code numbers to the strips. I do try to keep everything organized in the blk case that comes with the kit. Honestly, I drag my meter around with me all day. I’ve dropped a few strips along the way, but I decided not to use in case the strips picked up dirt. I am constantly out and about. This of course causes me to eat out more than I should, but regardless, I have to eat. At least now I can get a visual reading of where my levels are anytime I do. No more guessing how much or how little I should have. I especially like the display feature of my meal averages. With this kit I am able to make better choices moving forward. The KetoTrak system has lived up to my personal expectations. I even picked one up as a white elephant gift. The funny thing was that it was the most sought after gift in the room. In my humble opinion, I would recommend. For me, It works as described and it shipped fast, I had it the next day.

I think it is accurate. I enjoy that it is easy to use. I also enjoyed the low price. The only thing I don't like is the price of additional test strips. The kit only has 10 test strips and 10 lancets.
