Worked exceptionally well!
Although probably useless for most people now except for those looking forward to the Mercury transit of 2019, or the eclipse of 2024, 2044, or 2045, these did work well. In spite of Amazon's warning, I confirmed with Thousand Oaks optical and these were safe. The filter media was the same as my solar filter for my camera, and neither my camera nor I had any ill-effects. Sunspots were visible with the naked eye for those with great vision. If you want to view sunspots, the Mercury transit, or want to stock up for the 3 upcoming eclipses years/decades from now, I'd definitely recommend.*note* Photo was through a Thousand Oaks Optical 95mm solar filter, not the glasses. Same filter film media, however. During the eclipse, it looked the same brightness.

These came in great time and in great condition
These came in great time and in great condition. 9 of them were of one material (silver lenses), and one of them was a darker tent. I wish they were all the darker tent, but I'm sure they will work for the Solar Eclipse said to appear on August 21, 2017. I will find out then if they really do the job.

They worked great!
These worked just fine. I don't know what Amazon was doing sending out a scare notice. I'd be surprised if Thousand Oaks Optical had any flawed viewers. They've supplied filters to astronomers as long as I can remember.I also purchased their large filter material to use on binoculars. We can all still see just fine.

Wrong Item
Item is clearly listed as Solar Eclipse Glasses with the picture to match, but what actually arrived was a pack of Solar Eclipse VIEWERS - a totally different product.

Approved Vendor for Thousand Oaks
I, too, received the alarming e-mail from Amazon last weekend about these being potential fakes. FYI Shyh is listed as an approved vendor on Thousand Oaks' website (check for yourself). Also I checked for any UV transmission using a $3000 spectrometer from Ocean Optics which I have in my lab (I'm a physicist) and I couldn't see any within the sensitivity of the detector (which is quite good, but probably not good enough to comply with ISO 12312-2). No guarantees from me, just saying I checked them out myself (using non-standard optical inspection methods) and they weren't glaringly fraudulent.

Shyh is an Authorized seller for Thousand Oaks
I know there have been stories about counterfeit products going around, so just to be sure I contacted Thousand Oaks Optical directly and confirmed with them that Shyh is an approved vendor of their products. That set my mind at ease, so I wanted to share the information.
