Celebrity Watches is for any horology enthusiast!!
What a great book with tons of glossy photo pages! I would highly recommend this book to any horology enthusiast and basically covers all of the mid-high range timepieces with a snippet of who wore a particulary watch model of that brand.A fascinating piece on JFK that was mentioned was his Cartier that was given to him as an anniversary gift from the late Jackie O. It had his initials engraved on the bottom of the casing. This watch was on his wrist when he was asassinated and was removed by a nurse at the Dallas hospital then given to the Secret Service (which was in turn given back to Jackie). The watch ended up in the hands of JFK's secretary and is now in the possession of a watch collector, Robert White. For $20, it is definitely a must have for anyone's coffee table and/or collection.

4/5 for book, 5/5 for seller. Book is ...
4/5 for book, 5/5 for seller.Book is a bit on the short side--it dedicates its contents to a variety of brands rather than focusing on a key few--which makes the book feel even shorter. As other reviewers have noted, the book offers a more-often-than-not modern day equivalent watch to what the stars' wore. Sometimes it shows pictures of what a celebrity actually wore, sometimes it shows what is available for new purchase today. Its a decent, coffee table, flip through book.ALSO: I find it odd the cover had only pictures of male celebrities, from McQueen to Newman, but the contents had TONS of pages on women's celebrity watches. As a male looking for my next watch idea, I found this fact slightly disappointing. But at least it will appeal to both sexes equally.Seller was accurate in description. Bought used, dust cover was kind of battered. But for $4.50, you can't beat that.

FILLED with MAJOR Mistakes That Even a Novice Will Catch. WORST Edited Book of ALL Time.
BEWARE!!!....This book is REPLETE with INACCURACIES, from naming Buzz Aldrin as the first man on the moon to wear a mechanical watch (ALL astronauts in the Apollo program were issued the exact same Omega Speedmasters as required equipment, one for the wrist inside the capsule and one on a long velcro strap attached to the suits worn for excursions). Describing the Breguet Type XX Transatlantic as having a date apperature at the 6 o'clock position when in fact it has none. It shows a photograph of actor Gary Lockwood from the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey, calling him Keir Dullea. And finally telling a story of the watch that JFK was wearing when he was assassinated, calling it a Cartier (a gift to him, at some point, from Jackie), when anyone who knows anything about famous watches and watch wearers knows that the former President was an Omega man and was wearing one that fateful day. There are more, but this is all the time I'm going to give it.Nice photos of some nice pieces, but that's about it.MIGHT make a good party book for a group of people who have a working knowledge of great timepieces and their history. Go around the group, page by page, and whoever FAILS to spot an inaccuracy has to drink.....

Know what the Star's wear.
This book provides a great conversation piece for both the avid and casual watch collector. A wide range of personalities and their preferred watches are portrayed with a description of each watch. The fact that Bogart wore a Hampton, Cartiers were the preference of the Kennedys, and Stallone loves the Panerai is only a peek at the watches of the many celebrities in this book. Friends will be amazed at your insight into celebrity watches and you will be amazed at the Star's choices in timepieces. You'll keep this book around always as a resource and reference.

Curious
The good part is that most samples are modern watches and each chapter is dedicated to a brand. The bad is that is not very informative on the watches and waste some pages with fashion ones. Overall, curious but not a keeper.I gave mine to a friend.

Many interesting facts you wouldn't know if you dont read this book
This book gave me a great insight about lots of brands that I would never know if it werent for this book, like the history of brands and their fans. I expected more celebrities to be mentioned in this book but the fact that this book has lots of information about the history of the most prestigous watch makers make this book a 5 star watches coffe table book.

Weak
The book proposes pictures and description of models used by celebrities. However, in most instances exhibits a similar model from the same brand, not the true model used by the celebrity.

Celebrity Watches
Nice book. Not much info on it, but shows nice model that celebrities have and a brief story of it.
