Rain-blo Gum Balls, 0.53 Ounce Tube, Pack of 48 (3 packof 48)

Warning - this review is for the Jum-Blo version of the Rain-blo bubble gum. The A-Z store here may have this review showing up with several varieties of these items, including the smaller Rain-blo gum ball packages. I like those just fine, but what I was looking for when I placed the order for these was the Jum-blo gum balls and thankfully that is just what I got from the vendor I ordered from, here through Amazon.These are fairly large gum balls. A bit larger in diameter than a quarter. My wife, who chews far more gum than I do, doesn't even try to chew these as the gum balls are big enough that they are hard to even get a good bite down on. I like these because they are a bit larger and I don't need to double or triple up on the smaller gum balls just to get enough gum in my mouth to chew on.The flavor on these does tend to dissipate too quickly, but normally these last me long enough for a good trip to or from work (about 30 minutes give or take a bit). The package that I purchased has a fairly well stocked supply of gum balls within the bigger box. My local supplier charges a little more per tube than I paid for these, and unfortunately that supplier is temporarily unavailable to purchase from as they are remodeling and/or renovating their establishment. I'm glad these were available here, and appreciate the price point.

Love, love, love these gumballs. They are the softest and most flavorful of any I've tried for my office gumball machine. The yellow, however, is just plain weird. You expect lemon. The green is clearly lime, orange is orange, red is a lovely berry, yellow SHOULD be lemon. But it isn't. It's not exactly banana, either. Some have guessed pina colada, but that's not quite it either. It isn't awful, but it also is far from anyone's fav. Other than that, these are the best gumballs I've run across.

Don't take this the wrong way, the gum is bright and colorful, and each color has its own delicious flavor. But, apparently, machine-size ball gum has gotten smaller over the years. I didn't mind that this gum was costing more than a penny each, since it was all supposed to be for fun, but with the machine opening adjusted as small as possible it was still jamming with two pieces trying but unable to drop at the same time. In the second image you can see where I added a spacer to try and prevent two balls from trying to fit. The result was that half the time nothing at all vended. I switched over to Skittles which work fine and the gang still gets a bargain 4 or 5 pieces for their penny. Meanwhile, I hope I still have my teeth after I'm finished chewing all this gum.

You would think a food-type product would have some type of seal on the top of container under the plastic lid. This in turn would keep the gum balls in the container if it opens during shipping. You would think.This is how it arrived(see pic). Now how is the lid still on and gum filling the box? I will now contact seller after telling my wife to spit out what is already being chewed...

We have a bubble gum machine and we've tried other things- candy, other bubble gum name brands etc. in our machine. However, we regret it and come back to this type of gum always. The colors are so bright and they are the perfect size in our gum ball machine.This gum seems to stay soft in our machine longer than no name or other bulk brands that we buy. That may not be true, we haven't tracked it on a schedule. This is our impression though.We also like the flavor of this gum more than any other type of gum that we have found on the market that is reasonably priced.

I'm writing this review to let the manufacturers know that something went wrong with the purple gumballs in this batch. The flavoring was switched from grape to lime. It was quite unpleasant. I'm not sure how many boxes this spans across, but I am about to purchase a new box and really hope that the problem has been solved for the next shipment. I can't stand lime flavored candy or gum (it tastes like I'm eating lemon Pledge cleaner). Grape on the other hand is my absolute favorite flavor and I buy all grape candy and gum. So you can probably understand my dismay. Other than this new mix-up, which has never occurred before, this gum is wonderful. The gumballs are not too large, if you get them fresh, they are the perfect softness, and the flavor lasts a good amount of time for sugared gum.

I purchased this gum to refill my son's gumball machine, I remember Rain-Blo from when I was a child so I took the opportunity to reunite with an old favorite and fill up my sons antique gumball machine. The jar is a large size and I was surprised at how large the Jar was but once I seen the size of the gumballs I understood why. These are the mini gumballs so if your machine you are trying to refill takes medium or large/jumbo ones skip this purchase. In the picture it looked like the gumballs could be of medium size which it is not. I was tricked by that picture and very disappointed because I now have this large Jar of mini gumballs floating about the house and an empty gumball machine in my 9 year old's room. We are forced to eat it out the Jar so it travels from kitchen, to the kids room, to the den floating about by whomever picks it up. I would not purchase this again. Other than that there is nothing wrong with it. Quality was fine, in typical gumball fashion gum loses flavor rather quickly which I am aware of that so I am not upset about it. Its for the kids and I haven't gotten any complaints so I will not fuss about the particulars. It just wansnt the size I was hoping for.

We are using these for a small gumball machine for our grandchildren. Great value for the money. There are 750 pieces in this container and even at a penny apiece, they pay for themselves. (The gum machine would distribute them for free if you turn the handle, but we want them to think they have to pay!) They all have good flavor and bright colors. We got the half-inch size because our machine is smaller and they fit perfect. I'm sure the larger size balls are just as colorful and flavorful.
