This is the second unit I have from Zosi. The first one was a gift that was to replace another manufacture's DVR that had stopped working. I installed it and for some reason (operator error I suppose) I mistyped the new password and was unable to get back into the system to make changes. The system still worked with the default settings, however. I ordered another unit plus a 4TB HDD installed with no problem and it is working great. I searched on the internet for a reset that could override the lost password for the original unit and found that I could contact Zosi service website and get a reset password that would put system back to default password (blank). I sent an email and got a response back within minutes. Yotina asked for a few details about the unit and within minutes sent me a reset code that I entered in the password field which reset the unit. I then carefully put in my new password so that I could remember, and all is well. I now have two working systems and may install the extra one in my daughter's business address.

This is my second ZOSI DVR and I am very pleased with the product. The DVR was easy to install and setup. The Menu functions are easy to understand and navigate. My first ZOSI DVR developed an issue so I contacted customer support. Fannie was my support agent and was very helpful in trouble shooting the potential issue. We exchanged daily emails with updates and troubleshooting tips. Fannie, felt there was an issue with my unit and sent me a new replacement DVR. Great customer service.

The unit came double boxed and was earlier than expected. Very easy to install the hard drive and make all the connections. The unit comes on when plugged in and after it initialized the camera images showed up on the screen. The only problem I had was when I installed the app on the phone it kept asking for a password. With the help of a Customer Service Rep., Jar, I was able to correct the problem in a short time. I was glad I asked for help. The mobile app and the app on the pc meet my needs as the old system had no apps. If you have analog cameras, I recommend this system, my old system died but the cameras were still good and the manufacturer is no longer in business. It is nice not to have to buy a whole new system and spend hours running cables when in less than an hour I was recording again and thanks to Jar, technical support I can view my cameras when I’m away from home.

It's not like the instructions

Over the years, I’ve owned numerous Zosi wired security systems. Initially, they were straightforward; and, worked perfectly. Recent releases, however, have developed multiple problems. That’s particularly true of the H.265+ 8 CH systems, of which I’m currently running two sets.On each of the two, zones 7 & 8, worked only for a brief period of time; and, then went blank, with Video Loss warnings. Both are properly set; and, both use Zosi cameras, cables and, until recently, power sources. Because I’m a permanently disabled Veteran, with wartime service, all aspects of the 16 units were necessarily professionally installed.Zosi’s staff and online maintenance material blame the problems on inadequate power. To address that, I “upped” the original 1.5A supply, to 2.0A; and, then to a competitor’s 5.5A source. None of them, in any way, helped.So, I’ll again likely buy replacement cameras; and, have them installed, in the hopes they might resolve the situation. Were I to do this again, though, I’d find another brand.But, perhaps, that’s something which you can still do, in your own situation….
