Q: Would it fit a 8" speacker?

Yes, the beauty of this dampening product is the way they are designed. The individual strips are constructed so that you can both stick them all around the speaker and cut them to the desired length. They give you 6 so I actually stacked two on each of my 6x9 speakers. So they would definitely fit an 8" speaker with ease.
