This is movie nobody’s or a lot of people have never heard about. It is an underrated hidden gem of Clint Eastwood’s. I highly recommend it even though it’s 20 years old it really stands up and it’s Clint Eastwood. Can’t go wrong with Clint!

SPOILER ALERT: With 15 minutes left, our hero goes in for the "rescue," bringing the villain along with him, And Having No Police Backup! That is such an overused excuse for creating some final action that I quit watching the movie for a day before finishing it. Hero McCalib doesn't think of bringing a flashlight with him into the abandoned boat. Villan Buddy magically misses with dozens of shots with his machine gun. Once McCaleb rescued the pair, why doesn't he LEAVE? Then call the cops and have THEM get Buddy??? Of course, Buddy makes it to the rescue boat before the victims do--totally predictable, but I admit I like how Graciella handled the situation. Usually, movies show a helpless female victim who has to be rescued repeatedly. Other than the ending, the rest of the movie was Not Totally predictable. At 52 minutes, I suspected the killer was Buddy. At 65 minutes, I'm sure Buddy was the killer, and his motive was to save his friend McCaleb. Many good movies let the viewer know who the killer is, sometimes from the beginning, and it works. Here we were baited to believe Buddy's motives were what I thought. I was happy being wrong. So, I'd thought it a great movie until that dumb ending; an overused story gimmick.

Il y a quelque chose de fascinant avec Clint Eastwood. Ce qui ne pourrait être qu'un banal thriller adapté d'un roman (Michael Connolly) devient ici un film riche et captivant.Au-delà de son histoire de traque d'un psychopathe, Créance de sang (2002) aborde le thème du héros vieillissant - convalescent même ! - qui doit faire des choix décisifs dans sa vie. La place de la femme dans le monde policier, la question ethnique et le don d'organes sont également présents, mais tout est amené de façon subtile.Créance de sang est un très bon thriller, remarquablement interprété et très agréable à visionner. Le grand Clint est en pleine forme !
