AirNav VHF Airband 118-136 MHz Outdoor Antenna with SMA Connector

Bought it for Airband coverage. Built good and ready to use

tried to source up materials for a DIY airband antenna - it will cost you as much as this one or more. For my radio I needed a PL 259 adapter - amazon has them as well. Very clear Tx and Rx, mounted very nicely and looks way more neat than a DIY monstrosities people build.Connector cable also surprisingly long, I had no trouble routing it out without figuring an extensionOverall well worth the money.

Works great when paired with the radarbox VHF Flightstick. I currently have it installed indoors and am hitting a local small airport and a major airport about 20 miles away. Once I get it outside the quality should only go up.

Works well. Has a definite gain. Reception is now far better than before

La verdad esperaba más de la antena, lo conecté a un radio scanner uniden y su recepción es pobre en comparación con una antena dipolo (dos alambres expuestos) que capta más que este producto. Desconozco su fabricación interna, pero no tiene buena recepción. Solo capta cuando la aeronave esta por encima de mi casa, más de 10 millas no capta nada.

Bien que le visuel du produit ne correspondait pas à la description (simple emballage en plastique transparent, autocollant vert et non jaune, et câble de 10 mètres contre 7,5 annoncés, ce qui laissait penser qu'il s'agissait de leur antenne ADS-B 1090 MHz), le vendeur (Radarbox.com) m'a assuré qu'il s'agissait du bon produit. L'antenne semble avoir de bonnes propriétés cependant elle nécessite un filtre adapté car elle n'en inclut pas, contrairement à ce que la description pourrait laisser penser, ce qui cause des interférences notamment avec la bande FM.

Come da istruzioni l'antenna va installata in un luogo aperto e privo di riflessioni, funzionamento ottimo.

The media could not be loaded.  Had doubt about it when I first purchased it, but when I got it mounted outside on my fence then attached it to my receiver, I was more than satisfied with the item.I live in a busy suburban area surrounded by trees and high buildings and still was able to reach aircraft range from 135nm from my location….I was reaching towers from different airports way out of my range. Even during a lightning storm, I was still getting decent reception.If you have the time to play around trying to find the sweet spot to put the antenna you will get the best reception. I’m still yet to put it on the roof so I’m expecting to get even better results, but I’m currently happy where it is now.This will work on most receivers digital or analogue. I’m currently using a Uniden UBCD436 digital but also using the antenna on a Uniden bc126at (with a SMA female to BNC Male converter)Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cheap ish long range antenna.
