Smartly designed and beautiful clock
The JALL Sunrise Alarm Clock is a really great product. It's rare these days to come across something that clearly has had so much care and forethought put into both its design and function. I shopped for SO long for a clock that I was willing to purchase. Mostly I shopped for analog clocks with old fashioned clock faces and arms, because I definitley prefer the traditional beautiful clock face to cold, sterile digital clock numbers (who finds beauty in that?) I think if I were to have any luck finding something both traditionally beautiful but with some modern engineering built into it (e.g, no ticking!, snooze option!), I'd probably have to fly to Germany or Austria and visit some real clock stores. Alas, not what I can budget into buying a good clock.Enter the JALL Sunrise Alarm Clock. After looking off and on for a year, I took a gander at this digital-face clock. I was able to move past the digital numerals after looking at the overall clock and its various cool-sounding functions, and decided to try it. Very happy that I did. This turned out to be a very good purchase. Really pleased.Semi-Luddite that I am, I was at first doubtful by the array of buttons across the top of the disk-shaped timekeeper. This doubt was short-lived for several reasons. First the buttons themselves are thoughtfully designed, riding just enough off the top to see, feel and use easily without being an eyesore or ruining the smooth round lines of the clock. They are crisply labeled and JALL's excellent User Manual quickly shows you that all is easy to understand and is in line with your natural instincts and intuitions. It is a beautiful object, this clock. People of equal parts aesthetic sensibility and engineering aptitude designed this clock. Its front is big and round and illuminated to whatever hue and brightness fits your mood. You can, like I do, change it whevever to better reflect what you're thinking or feeling, or your activity, or the moment. I like and appreciate that more than I could have anticipated. You can set it to simulate the gradual daily brightening of the sky to your liking of color and duration. And, those digital numerals I've never much cared for? Again, smartly designed to fall toward the bottom of the circular face, not screaming from the center; AND, you can adjust the brightness (and thus, sharpness) of the numerals. I keep mine at a soft, gauzy resolution, and am pacified. The variety of alarm sounds is impressive, giving the user the ability to change it up every so often. I use the waves crashing/seagulls for the weekend, and stick with the tonal beeping to get me out of bed during the week. I would LOVE to graduate to the point where I could use just the natural soundscapes to coax me up gently each day but I'm not yet there. I am up at 5am M-F to go to work, so not in a place where I can play around with weekday alarms. Also, if you're sometimes a heavy sleeper like me, you may just sleep through 20 minutes of waves crashing on a weekend morning like I did once, even though it was set like all alarm options to start of softly and get progressively loud. I guess the sound of waves, campfires, crickets and so on are PLEASANT enough that we all can be lulled to sleep by them. Clearly my brain is willing enough to incorporate these natural sounds as something of a lovely backdrop. After weeks of using, I only slept once through the waves on a Saturday; all the other times I was gently coaxed awake. As for workdays, I know myself well enough to stay with a more traditional alarm tone, but am relieved it's gradual and doesn't jolt me unpleasantly from my slumber.Lots of cool stuff designed into this clock to please a broad spectrum of predilections, and for all individuals to try out and make use of. No matter from which angle you happen to look at this clock it is appealing to the eye, whether from the front, back, or side. All surfaces are curved and round and smooth. I'm a minimalist and this clock fits right in with an environment I prefer not to clutter up with a whole lot of stuff. I prefer more breathing space with fewer things, but things that stand out for their lines or colors and how they make me feel. I've become far choosier in what I shop for and what I'm willing to pay money for. Really nice job, all you folks at JALL. Hats off for making such a beautifully designed and well-engineered alarm clock for my nightstand!

Wonderful!
I have wanted a sunrise/sunset simulation alarm for years but could never justify it while I was a college student. Now that I have been out of school for a few years and settled into my career I finally took the plunge and I am so happy that I did. This is one of the most valuable purchases I have made in my adult life.Getting up in the morning has never really been difficult for me. I am an early bird for sure. I haven't slept in past 9 in probably 5 years. In the summer I usually bound out of bed as the sun rises. In the winter? Not so much. It is dark and cold and even the most gentle alarm from my phone would jarr me awake. I have had this alarm for about 2 weeks now and it is the dead of winter and I have woken up feeling refreshed every morning, which translates to more energy and focus throughout my day.I really like the design. It is simple and minimal - something I am slowly transitioning more of my life towards. It was also really easy to set up. Those reviews saying it was too hard and giving it a bad review obviously didn't read the instructions. I skimmed through the manual and had it figured out in about 10 minutes. The front display has adjustable brightness which is a huge plus. There are 3 settings: bright, middle, and off. I keep mine in the middle. I appreciate that the display is an orange color - not blue or white. Less pain to the eyes if you have to check it in the middle of the night. You can set 2 different sunrise alarms which is helpful since I wake up later 2 days off my week and like that I don't have to reprogram it for those mornings, I just hit the button for which alarm I need. The sunrise alarm can be adjusted in a variety of ways:- time (duh)- alarm sound (I like the bird song but there are a handful of other choices)- brightness level: it always starts from off then you can adjust how bright it gets by the time the alarm actually starts at you programmed time.- how far before your alarm it begins to brightenI have my "sunrise" programmed to start 15 minutes before my alarm is set to start. It goes from off to a deep red/orange to yellow and finally to white. The maximum brightness will absolutely light up a whole room. That is a bit much for me so I have it turned back just a little. I am typically awake sometime around yellow. This wakes me up so much more gently and I have a few minutes in bed before the "alarm" of birdsong actually gets me up. So I am awake before my alarm most days and getting out of bed right after my alarm goes off. No more poking at my phone for 10 minutes trying to get myself out of bed in the morning. The "sunset" can also be programmed, however there is only one setting, not 2 as with the morning alarms. It can be adjusted to your liking in the following ways:- how long the "sunset" lasts- starting brightness- sounds played (less options here than the sunrise but more relaxing, I like the rain the most)From the starting brightness that you program over the designated amount of time it slowly dims from white to yellow to orange to red and finally off. I have mine set for 20 minutes and I typically read a paper book as the blue light from screens is counter-productive. Once I stop being able to easily read that is usually about when my body is drifting towards sleep. It finished darkening while I snuggle fully into bed and off I go to dreamland. It does have the ability to change the color of the light but the default works just fine for me.I absolutely love this product. I do have 2 small qualms but nothing to take away from a 5 star review. I notice it more in during the "sunset" but the transition from light to dark is not very smooth, I definitely notice it click down with each level. It may be due to my settings and I will see if having a longer period of time to transition from light to dark with smooth that out. My other issue is in the mornings. Once my alarm goes off and it is at full brightness I wish there was a way to turn off the alarm sound but keep the light on. There is a "snooze" button but I haven't tried it yet so I may experiment with that.In the short time I have had this product I can honestly say it has changed my morning routine and also the effects on the rest of my day. My sleep is more restful and waking up is so easy. It has really helped my mental health and I literally cannot stop raving about it to friends and family. If you are considering purchasing a product like this I highly recommend starting here. There are more much more expensive models but this one is accessible and user friendly.

A really nice way to start your morning!
I bought this for my teen, who did not like it. Mainly because it didn't work to wake him up. I took it over and I LOVE it!!!! what a pleasant way to wake up. It takes a while to get in the groove of setting it up every time the power goes out, but you get it down eventually. I only use it for waking up, but it is a nice alternative to startling your self with loud noise. I recommend keeping your cell phone out of your room and trying this clock

Life Changing Alarm Clock
I was on the fence for years about a sunlight alarm clock, I hate waking up in the morning. This is literally the best alarm clock I've ever had and so many features. You can have two alarms so weekdays vs weekends, or just two different wakeup times. The sleep function has a separate volume than the wakeup function which, probably standard in 2024?, but the first alarm clock I've seen to actually do that. I never understood how you use the sleep function on low volume then wake up ...Anyway the light changes to several different colors if desired, can be used as a lamp if desired, and the process of waking up with the light is gradual. It actually works, even when I sleep with my head all wrapped up it still gets the mind prepared for waking before being super abrupt.
