Pretty decent product, very good for the price
Keep in mind that this is a no-frill product, and not a high-profile rack. The price is probably less than what you would pay if you were to buy the pieces and assemble it yourself. The hardware was complete, and the assembly was very straightforward and quick. The pre-drilled holes were precisely placed. The alignment after the installation was nice and stright. The design at the bottom could be a little higher (too close to the floor), but it is still OK. I had one of the cross pieces show up with a partial crack, but it did not affect the assembly or the strength, so I glued it myself and finished the assembly. Even without glueing, it would probably be OK.Regarding the size of the slots (also mentioned in other reviews), yes it is a little tight for wide bottles, and some of my Chardonnay and Pinot Noir bottles barely fit. In one case it did not fit in one slot, so I tried the adjacent column, and the extra milimeter or two (which is within tolerance of this kind of a product) helped. I was able to put all of my reasonably wide bottles in. Champagne bottles - they will not fit. If ou have a bottle or two, keep it next to your rack, if you need a rack for a number of champagne or wide-body bottles, this rack is not what you need.

Good simple wine rack
If you're looking for a simple, non-fancy wine rack, this is a good choice. Assembly was fast and easy, and the instructions were straight-forward. It fits all my 750ml bottles, even the odd-shaped or narrow bottles. It's height/width also allow it to fit snugly in a tight corner or spot where a larger, fancier, bulkier rack might not.My only real problem with the rack was that, since it's made of unfinished pine that might warp a bit easily, once it was assembled the legs weren't exactly even. If you're putting it on a hard level surface like a linoleum or wood floor, I'd recommend getting something to level it out so it doesn't wobble. I placed mine on a carpeted floor, so I didn't need to level it. Another gripe is that, once assembled, finishing and/or staining the wood is darn near impossible, with all the small cracks and crevaces. I would recommend staining/varnishing it before assembling, if that's your intent. The only other thing to note about this wine rack is that, strictly cosmetically speaking, the screws show all over. However, if it's just a simple wine rack you want to sit in your kitchen/closet to function as a simple sturdy wine rack that holds lots of delicious wine - and not as a beautiful/trendy living room wine display/conversation piece - this is a great rack at a great price. It was definitely a worthy buy for me! :-)

What a deal!
First is the price. For the quality and the capacity, it is hard to find a better deal. For now, the rack is unfinished in the basement but I really like the idea that it can be easily stained or painted if I ever need to move it to a more visible location in the house.Next is the fast delivery and the fact that the unit was well packaged for shipping and it arrived quickly. Finally, the easy of assembly is probably it's most surprising feature. Laying out the pieces on a table top helped make the assembly go together quickly. After screwing in a few screws into pre-drilled holes (to prevent splitting the wood) the unit was ready to go.It is relatively light so moving it to its location was easy work. Filled with wine bottles, it is very stable.I like the fact that the top of the rack can hold the few bottle styles that do not fit into the slots. These tend to be bottles that are a bit more bulb shaped than the more conventional straight-walled bottle.Definitely a get buy. I am already waiting for the delivery of a second one. It seems that the fact that we now have a good looking place to store the wine has initiated purchasing more.

A good rack for the price!
Ok Folks, this is pine, and they are inexpensive, so don't expect fine-sanded mahoganony...But, a good rack for the price, and I knew what I was getting. I purchased (8) total to fill out a wine cellar. I stained mine, which must be done before assembly. This is a lot of work given all the nooks and and crannies, about 45mins per rack. Do not plan to wipe off the stain, impossible - just leave it on and let it dry. I'm not planning on varnishing them - too much work and mess. They look good, but a couple other comments. I suggest countersinking the screw holes to improve the look, improve strength, and reduce risk of splitting. Buy a coutersink bit if you dont have one. Use a hand screwdriver to final-tighten all the course thread screws, as its very easy to blow through the pine and split the pieces with a drill. Althoough it may not be necessary I used a finish nailer to attach the top to all the vertical spars/pieces. Pretty sturdy once assembled.

needs a backing to improve its stability
The first one we purchased and filled , wine bottles slipped down due to bowing of the rack. I put a back in using thin plywood, and it is great. Screwed and glued. The second one we purchased was a gift and I did the same backing immediately. The recipients of the gift love it.

I would buy this again...
My husband and I purchased this wine rack for a "practical" storage method for our wine. We're new to "the Wine world" and we're not wine snobs (we just know what we like). We bought this particular rack to store our wine so that we could take the wine bottles out of the boxes and keep them organized and easy to see. We live in log home so the natural wood suits our style just fine. We keep it in the basement and it's not really on display for anyone (other than us) to see.. It works for our storage issues and we'd definitely buy it again. If you're looking for something real fancy and impressive --- this isn't it. It's simple and functional and inexpensive. We like it. We'd rather spend our money on wine rather than spend money on ways to store our wine bottles. It's all about personal preference...
