This review is primarily to confirm and document a clear change in product size/volume over short time (2016 - 2017) and possibly between retail venues.In our home's collection of the same "Mega Roll" ultra strong product, there are three different size rolls. We have a subscription to prevent running out of toilet paper, and occasionally purchase at a grocery store or Target. I also somewhat stockpile it and don't use oldest first, so we have toilet paper purchased as far back as late 2015 or early 2016. So just in the course of two years, the product size changed twice, each time getting smaller. I also would expect that with all the marketing about the "Mega" roll being 4 times the size of standard, this "Mega" roll would be the same whether purchased on Amazon or at Target. However, reading Q&As, it seems product at physical stores may contain more sheets (330 as opposed to 308).IN THE PICTURES--(A) the largest package with three rolls across (less than half remaining) came first, in late 2015 or early 2016(B) the 4-roll packages were delivered later 2016(C) then the 6-roll started shipping sometime in 2017The single roll hanging out on top is from the earliest big package, it is obviously larger. Comparing how many floor tiles two rolls side by side take up:(A) Two of the largest rolls take up more than five floor tiles(B) The 4-roll package takes up just about five tiles(C) The 6-roll package is distinctly narrower, taking up four and a half tilesI have not weighed any toilet paper but if I ever obtain a mail/food scale, I will update. Also worth noting is that roll width did not observably shrink between the three packages across two years, and individual sheets are not meaningfully different. It's possible the toilet paper has just been getting flatter, thus taking up less space! We toss the cardboard boxes so no longer know what was claimed on packaging in terms of square footage or number of sheets between last year (6 4-roll packages) and this year (4 6-roll packages) and the packages don't say.We continue using Charmin but I have started incorporating other brands such as Scott whose rolls last forever (even when you use a lot) since the sheets are so thin. With some mixed use we get the nice aspects of Charmin with greater longevity.

Charmin Ultra Strong Toilet Paper is the only TP my husband wants in our house. It never fails if either us are in the store and in a rush we just grab the cheapest or best value toilet paper will be completely disappointed when we get it home. Either it leaves tiny paper wads on us or it's so thin that our fingers poke through it as we are using it, ewww yuck who whats "poop finger". Nobody does and Charmin is a great tissue that will covers all our bathroom needs.It's quilted so it is super soft, it's thick so there's no "poop finger" happening. This package is a GREAT DEAL! Normally in the box store or local dollar store I pay between $9 - $12 for 9 rolls of the regular size this is 24 or the "mega" rolls which have so much more on them. I was so excited when I found this deal. Like I said there are 24 rolls in this box and they are all the "mega" size roll. They were delivered in a box and packaged into 6 separate packages of 4 rolls each. You can't beat this pricing on this box of toilet paper. First, let me say, this IS a good value if you do the math correctly. More on that in a moment.My family was Charmin-loyal for, literally, as far back as I can recall, and that choice followed me into adulthood. Then, a few years ago, Charmin reduced the size of their sheets from 4.5" x 4.5" to 3.92" x 4.0" without a proportionate adjustment in price. (Like no one was going to notice they could, now, shuttle the roll back and forth on the holder? Come on, P&G!) For whatever reason, I took this very personally and set out in search of a replacement.While, I admit, I'm still salty about P&G's not-so-stealthy move (hence the 4-star rating), I realized I needed to let go of the past and compare the products currently available.The result? Charmin FTW. This precious commodity shows up on my doorstep within 48 hours of my call and it's STILL a better bargain than picking it up in-store!One reviewer says it isn't a good value because they purchased 402 sq. ft. for $14.99, making this product more than 3 times the price per square foot. That is incorrect.Each 4-roll pack of the product pictured contains 143 sq. ft. of toilet paper. The item you purchase for $26.65 (as of today, 6/6/16) contains SIX, 4-roll packs. That's 858 sq. ft.$26.65 ÷ 858 ft² = $0.03106/ft²$14.99 ÷ 402 ft² = $0.03728/ft²I broke down the prices of this product and the other leading brand to compare the per-unit costs. I looked at Amazon, 2 major/chain grocers, and a popular big-box store. Amazon had the best prices for both products. Per unit, the Charmin was more expensive, but only by a negligible amount, so we went back to the better product: Charmin!!

Bought it on sale- 24 mega rolls for $ 20- in april 2018. The price is jacked up to $35 in aug. 2018, at time of review. Hence the 3 star.Like Charmin over all others ( Royale/Kirkland). Butt is clean and soft- and hands are stink free. Comes in Ultra soft and Ultra strong versions.Mega rolls are bigger than reg and double rolls. ( mega plus is available in USA) . 1 mega roll = 4 reg rolls, 1 double roll = 2 reg rolls.TIPS- mega rolls do not fit in older houses where the t.paper cubby is enclosed in the wall or its a very tight fit- so the rolls will not slide.. see pics Tear off some paper by hand- and reduce the size of the roll.- get some free roll extenders form Charmin- from their site ( will only work- for increasing the horizontal width of the holder.

It's strong but a bit of a rough texture for me...
